can spending time mylotting effectively improve my English verbal leve?

My mother tongue is not English, and i wish to become proficient in it as the english-speaking people. Therefore, i spend time reading the discussions in mylot and sometimes make some responds during my spare time, even during the worktime when i am temporarily free. Do you think this is an effective way to continue?
Or, do you have other methods to achieve that proficience in verbal English?

english is an language ,need to contact it everyday .if you can reading english everyday and start discussion more often ,i think you can imporve your writing english ,try your best seek the opportunity to speak out ,then you can improve your spoken english
