What Do You Do With The Extra Money That You Make?

Basically we all need this thing called money. Why? because it serves as the medium of living aside from breathing. With this currency we are able to buy food, clothing, etc. However, sometimes we find ourselves in debt or the other way around, which is making a sum amount of extra money. What do you actually do with this if you happen to earn extra money? Me, I sometimes save it, although there are instances that I really need it for basic necessities. As a result, my extra moolah becomes emergency money for everything.

Any of the extra money that I make goes into a second bank account, and will pay for my car insurance and tax, along with a few other things, and possibly pay for a holiday once in a while.
What I do sometimes with any money over and above what I need, I put towards a savings scheme - but there isnt much in that at the moment.
Im doing everything I can at the moment to earn some extra money.
Happy myLotting!

I like saving all my cash but i don't like depositing them in the bank, I look for investment opportunities to generate more money, which is a form of passive income. I spend less on food and clothing and material stuff, though I'm not financially unstable.

Whenever I have extra money I just save it and deposit it in my bank account. I always try to save money so that I'll have money during emergency. I would be receiving my 13th-month pay soon, and I'm planning to put all of it in my bank account.

I would save it in my bank account for the future in case I would ever need it. If you were some people who just spent their extra money on gambling, etc, trust me, your gonna regret in the future. But if you save it in your bank account, in the future, if you ever need the extra money, you could go get it from your bank account. Wouldn't that be better?

My husband and I do our best to live on our monthly incomes, and take the money that we make on line and put it into savings. if we join sites that reward us in gift cards, we will use those cards for things we want, but if the sites pay us in cash, we will put the cash into our respective savings accounts.

Instead of aimlessly watching the soaps I prefer to be online and all the earnings that I receive from the various sites since I started over two years ago are completely extra money. I decided not to use them for anything offline. Instead I am saving them all up and they will go towards a visit to US to see my sister. No idea yet when that will be but the longer I wait the more they add up

It is not going to cover just the flight there and back but also all the expenses while I am there and I hope to stay for a few months

Lately I've been putting it toward paying off my credit card. I'm about halfway done with that! And after that I will probably treat myself to a few things, and put about half of my extra money away for savings - for school, car repairs, etc. As far as online sites go, I'm really not active very often on any site other than MyLot so it's not like I'm rolling in the dough because of what I do online. I occasionally do surveys and work on PixProfit, but not very often. 99% of my income comes from working in-real-life (I have 2 part time jobs).

I live well but frugally with the money I have every month. But I like to travel and that is not on my budget. As I am retired, I work online and earn pennies that turn into dollars. I save everyone of them and travel once a year. I earn online about $100 with great effort and after learning about the good sites.
Of course when an emergency comes, there goes the money!
I live alone and if you save $100 a month you can go almost enywhere for vacations.
Take care!

At times that I earn extra money, well half of it is for my savings and half of it is for my wants. Sometimes its good to pamper yourself or buy what you really want with that extra money you have.

With this economy I never have any "extra money" anymore, it all goes to bills, Just want to ask you are you aware that in your profile you have red type on a red backround, we cant read anything about you.

Hi mchavez11. Most often, I use my extra money to: buy gifts for my husband with or without occasion, give extra allowance for my sisters' schooling, buy a good book/magazine, or give cash to my mother in the province.

'Extra' money is for saving. Isn't it? If you can manage your lifestyle with your main income than any extra money goes to the saving. Am I wrong? Of course, it depends on the situations and on the individuals.
