They say that we can get a lot of benefits form mushrooms. in fact, many industries now produce other products out of mushrooms such as coffee, tea, food supplements and chips. We went to our uncle’s place last Saturday. It was my first wild-mushroom picking expedition and I was eager to get the skillet and butter going. Mildly concern that my bounty would not be safe to eat, I stopped by the local agricultural agent which was very near to the place. He checked the mushrooms over and said that those are edible. thanks GOD for im dying to have them in some of our viands.
Many people enjoy going to the woods to pick their own mushrooms. However, identifying mushrooms can be a real challenge. The color, shape and size of the fruiting body can vary tremendously. It is important to properly identify the mushroom that is collected, so as to avoid a poisonous species.

oohh i love mushrooms from the wild and from the store. i learned all the types of mushrooms that grow around here when i was about 10 and know which are poisonus and which arent it is a very usefull thing to know out here in the woods. we have a kind of mushroom out here that glows in the dark that is extermely poisonus but very fun to play with because its bright orange in the light and green in the dark. i like to eat my mushrooms raw or cooked in many different ways but the best is sautéed in butter with garlic and herbs poured over pasta mmmm :)

I love mushrooms. I never pick them wild as I wouldnt know what to pick.
When I was with my husband, I couldnt eat mushrooms at all, as he hated them. Now I have them regularly. Sometimes I have them on a toasted sandwich, othertimes in a casserole or mince. Tonight I am making a pizza & I will have mushrooms on it.

I like only a few types of mushrooms, shitake, and straw. As for the locally grown mushroom types, I don't like the taste or texture. I do, however like to prepare them in different ways for those who do like them.
Stuffed mushroom caps are always a hit. I chop the stems, mix them with other ingredients, such as bacon bits, cheese, spices, whatever you like, and then bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.
You can always change the ingredients, even add seafood, and then use sauce over top before baking, and sometimes, depending on the recipe, sprinkling with grated parmesan.

My answer is'yes!'because i think that the mushrooms taste delicious as well as healthy. The mushroom cam be made in many ways that it will make us feel good. However, i haven't gone to pick the mushroom by myself ever before,i just bought it in the market.I want to pick them by myself very much, but at the same time i am afraid that i will pick the poisonous.
Could you teach me how to pick them out?

I love mushrooms but sadly, its not a very common food at all amongst our people. We rarely get fresh mushroom here and till a few years ago, bottled mushrooms were available only at upend departmental stores. The story is much the same…only difference is that dried packed mushrooms are available and they need to be soaked and that somehow takes away the taste. The other variety is the common button mushroom floating in brine…that too is salty and is mostly used in restaurants. At home, I have never tasted fresh mushroom or we don’t have any recipes for home cooked mushroom dishes *sigh*

I usually buy the mushrooms which are from branded companies. Particularly UniLever, has brand of mushrooms, which I usually buy. It is quite expensive, but quite safe. I love mushrooms, and I usually make an egg ommelete with it. I also like fried mushrooms with onions. Unfortunately for me, it causes some side effects on my wife,so I am forced to stop buying it.

Cool! We lived in the city and can't really find an edible mushroom in the streets, under the bridge and canals you'll find them but their dirty and poisonous. But I like mushrooms on pizza and soup, they're really yummy and hope to try a fresh picked one from the wild and readily cooked it.

I used to like mushrooms, but I think I ate too many a couple of years ago, right now I'm not really mad about them, if I can skip them I do.
