Are you tired of seeing discussions about the end of the world in 2012??????????

O yes i started it not because i like to start a discussion about the end but, because of i want to express my feelings and thoughts about the kinds of discussions, my focus is not about the 2012 things but about the discussions that people are posting and keep discussing over and over again. You are right, we need to focus on the present not the future, cause no one can really predict what will really happen in the future. What do you think will happen if people will only think about and talk about that? Nothing, they will just conceptualize and internalize it over and over again, and it makes them more anxious about the topic. And they are not being productive. Thank you so much for the response.

You are right, it is over reacted and over internalized that is why this discussion i think will never end until that year comes. It is really not good to see discussions that will end the world. Other people are thinking much about the future but they are not thinking what to do at present so that they can be productive and do something about it, id the people will only talk about those things and will not do anything, probably it might happen, but in a different way. You see there is a global warming right now, but what do we people do, yeah we know it, then what, nothing. And then other people will over react to that prophecy? Why don't do something so that if they are afraid on the end of the world, it will not happen. Another scenario is that, the world have economic difficulties right now and i think it is better for people to be very productive, triple the productivity so that, the starvation will not happen. Instead of discussing things like those, why not do something productive that will prevent it? O well i am really sick and tired of that kind of discussion, i just hope others people minds will open and see the things that they should be doing right now, not the things that they should hot be doing, like talking much about the end.

We should start working on steps that will transform us as individuals into better people then on the "theatrics" which is the 2012 movies, and all the folk lore behind it. We should be more careful to not let ourselves get carried away with things like that, and should pay more attention to the here and now, to what we can do to change things about that!

Exactly and nicely said! It is about change, transformation, but not the end. I studied about that is why i know what they are trying to say. My professor in my Master's degree ask me to study about it and i really did. And that is it! You are right. And the change i think is already happening, it will not change in just a snap of a finger, everything has a process. Even scientists told us that this change will also happen. The only problem with people is that, Some sensationalized it so much, to the extent of getting paranoid and adding some extra stories about it and then ta da! They come up with the 2012 ending. Anyway end or not, change or not. We cannot predict what will happen. You know why post this discussion? So that this discussion can be an eye opening for the people to stop being paranoid and anxious about it. Because it will do nothing good to us. Instead of talking things like this, it is better to think about the present situation and what can we do about it. Boy, I made a lot of mistakes on that response. Might be because of the frustration. 1.All the discussions I could find on the home page were either about Friday the 13th or 2012. 2.How many members can start discussions regarding the same thing at the same time? Sorry for my mistakes.

There is no point in speculating what will happen and how we will handle that situation. It does not matter what we believe in either. If it is going to happen then there is nothing we can do. Or if we can actually do, then we should think about that when the situation comes.

i see you are also tired of this discussions and so do i, you know what it did make me pray that i hope this massive insanity stop. People are like being pull out from the reality and little by little they looses their sanity. I think it is really not a good sign. People need to be critical thinkers so that when times like this comes they know what to do and they know what to think.

You are right about that, actually it is really interesting but... to the extent of sensationalizing it so much and be affected by it so much is not anymore good. It will not do anything good to people who are thinking about it so much, it only makes them stressful and anxious. And being stressed and anxious is not good for the health of the people. And also it makes them less productive at present and being less productive is not good, we cannot help the society by being less productive because of thinking of that 2012 world ending. It maybe true or not, but even if it is true, well i think we just need to accept it, besides we are also a contributor to that. We abused the earth so much and now we are paying for it.

I see your point, however I feel that these things shouldn't negatively affect someone. I've heard so many times over the years that the world was going to end, and it never did. Of course we all know it will end one day (but that's millions of years away because the sun won't be able to exist forever.) I'm sure some people might take this 2012 thing a bit too seriously and be scared, but I think those people fall into a minority, because I highly doubt so many people are that terrified that they can't be productive or even functional on a daily basis. However, I think it's weird if people are so scared about 2012 but don't think anything about global warming, because global warming is clearly real and has scientific evidence to back it up with. So, if anything 2012 might make people think "how can I live better," in the sense that, what can they do to try to damage the environment less or help other lives more.

You are right, they just keep on repeating and repeating this prophecy over and over again and then what? Nothing! Just the same old world, who's being abused by the people who live in it. If we people will keep thinking of this 2012 thing, nothing will happen to us. The problem will only become much worse. I think it is better instead of thinking things like this, we do our part as a human being.

You are right about that, and you know what? I think it's just the same person who is posting it they just log out and log in again with a different account. This thing will do nothing good to them and even to others. They are just instilling fear to others and they are creating a ghost of their own to fear. Instead of doing things like that and thinking of the future, why not be productive and live normal. It is much better than that. Look, if they will only just be productive, they can help the world's economy back to it's normal shape.And it is much better than being a paranoid.

You are right about that, No one really knows what will happen next and even when the world will end, it can come anytime. I think the best way to do right now is pray and live normal life. Do things that we think is necessary instead of thinking things that is not sure will happen and things in the future. Present first before future.

What important is that, just pray, live a normal life and be productive as much as we can so we can help the economy survive. Specially nowadays there is this world economic crisis. O yes you are right about that, but other people are not like you, and mylot members are not the only once who can read the topics that we posted, it crawls on search engines and the world wide web. Do you think it will do anything good? O well i am just concern of other people, i am just being selfless right now, no matter what others will try to tell me or will tell me. But i think i really need to stop this for the sake of others and humanity. I agree with you, it is because of the Mayans and besides Mayans said it will not really end, it's just that there will be a change. My professor in Philosophy have great beliefs in Mayans and he explain it to us, the world will not end but will change. And i think it is happening right now, even a little child can predict that earth will change cause we know that anything and everything changes. Besides no one knows when that end will really come and no one can predict it except God. Instead of thinking those things lets think about the present.

You are right about that, they are free to post whatever they want to, but, i think they should really stop right now, maybe you are not affected by it, only you, but how about the others? Isn't that a selfish thinking? I am sorry but, i post this discussion cause i think and hope that this topic should stop immediately. Many people are now affected by this 2012 thing every time they read an article about it, then it will do a much more damage if many people will still read the same topic coming from different people and different nationality, they will think that the world is now really concern about this and this is very fearful situation for them, then what will happen? They will be affected too much, just like what i have said, so many people are affected now by this topics. Even the children, so why would i just sit here and do nothing? And just let them post any thing that i think is bad for everyone? People should think of other things that is necessary than this. People should stop this viral news prophecies so that some people will stop being paranoid, stressed and anxious about this story. So for me, if the only way to stop this is violate their freedom of expression then i will do it. I do not care if people will tell me that i mean and crazy doing this, stopping those, it is ok for me, what important is that i know i did help those people who are suffering right now because of this massive insanity.

You are right about that no one knows when, people just need to accept the fact that everything and everyone will come to it's end. You are also right, because of the Mayans prophecies + the movie makes it more complex for other people. I think it is not good, many people are being affected now by that prophecies specially those who are very superstitious people, and it do nothing good to them. I just wish this massive insanity stop.

You are right about that, and beside God said he will not destroy the world. And i believe in him. Yes i will also laugh it i can still read this discussion by 2012. You are right about that, no one can predict it even the most intelligent person in the world except God, that is why i think it's enough, it is time to stop this nonsense, So what if it will really come? It's just that i am irritated by this topic but, my real concern is that for those people who really believe in this prophecies, they cannot sleep, some even need to go to a Psychiatrist because of the stress and anxiety this prophecy produce. It does nothing good but to make people anxious and stressful and paranoid thinking of that 2012 end. I pity those people who is suffering right now from those stress. If only i can do something, i will tell them to stop and just live the normal life and just pray. That's all, anyway, i hope this insanity stops immediately.
