Confusion about life

Hai vijayanths!You need not get confused.Our old age saint Thiruvalluvar have written about this.Just the great lives of the sinners and the poverty of the good ones should be thought of.He points towards the previous karmas working for them.While the good ones should silently bear the inconvenience,the sinners should not take things for granted.Cheers!

I am a firm believer in karma and reincarnation so these anomalies make perfect sense to me. Other than that, some people have inherited the wealth and usually rich kids are brought up without any struggle so they have little respect for money and people around them. Also, I don’t know whether poor people are good at heart or not but its definitely true that the less you have and if you can control yourself, you’ll be a happier person. There’s a saying in Bengali that the raja (king) is happy but the happiest is the maharaj (in this case a beggar or someone who has given up all worldly possessions)…the more you have the more worries you have too!

I am confuse too. But we can't judge a bad person until proven by law, and we cannot say because a person done good to you, he or she is always that way. Everything that has happen in our life are the result or consequences of our action. REal good people are those not selfish, they are willing to help eventhough there are so many problems they have in life too. Moreover, there are bad person that is not always bad, there are times they are good. Even if the bad person is a bad person indeed, but he or she is doing everything to make his or her life bountiful, it will happen, while those good people if they will not be working hard or do whatever to find comfort they will not have it unless they work for it. It is depend on people's decision in life. If good people wants to be miserable they can do it, because its there decision, but it is better if they will work on it. Some bad person that are really bad have no conscience and obviously will not have peace of mind, so I don't think there life is comfortable.

Hi vijayanths, There is much that we don't understand in life and I'm sure that there are many who think as you do. I wonder what would happen if what you call the good and bad people changed places? Would they also change their ways? If those good people suddenly had all of the comforts of life would the remain good? If the bad people were suddenly very poor, would they now become good people? There is good and bad in everyone and often our position in life decides the way we think. Blessings.

That depends on what you consider a good life. If you mean luxuries in life well those people have to deal with all the things that come with obtaining those. I personally would rather go without than have to have a life of worry or competition. I believe that family, friends, and faith are the keys to happiness. Things are just that, things! So I guess that means that I agree with you, it is an inner peace! Nice discussion.

The enjoyment of life of the wicked is temporary. Their future is short. Psalm 37:9-11 (New International Version) 9 For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. 10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. 11 But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.

i dont think that money and luxuries are everything in life....peace and happiness at heart are the biggest wealth of life...we have to struggle to get real hard earned money and the money earned in that way gives u peace and apart from money the happiness of our dearest ones, their smiles are more valuable to me...if u have all luxuries its not necessary that the person must be happy...sometimes u dont get sleep even in AC, but you can have sound sleep in an open air in a simple mattress...so earn less...working hard...that will give u peace and ur dear ones will also not miss u

Well,I'm not sure if they have peace within their hearts.I believe that if you suffer, it doesn't mean that you are blessed.It's important to do something, to act, not just sit in tears hoping for a better life.My father was a good person, but now I see his biggest mistake - he supported bad people without realizing it.And he often get hurt by them,and these people brought many problems into our life.He never learned to protect himself which is also important if you don't want to end your life in misery.Those rich,well, we see only their physical comfort,we can't tell if they are happy or not.

Hi vijay I agree with you. Good people are struggling and suffering and bad are enjoying all comforts. But you know, god will test good people in so many ways, but do not let them down but give the more and more to bad people and suddenly let them down.

Well, by that definition I am a good person. LOL.

Hello Jay. Good people suffer because we won't sell out to the bad guy that is why we have to struggle in this life. But when this life is over boy will we have many joys we will be with God. The bad people will be with their god. They won't be happy then but the good people will be rejoicing because they won't be suffering anymore. Don't worry they have their day coming to them. But the good people have a greater day coming to them too! Have a great day!

The confusion is in our own minds, I would like to think. We become sad by dwelling unnecessarily on others' lives. The best way to deal with this is to do some introspection and control our desires, wants, temptations and weaknesses. Unless we recognise our true self, we can never be happy and contented.

yes, i agree with you even i was wondering why it always happens likewise.Find happiness with such honesty, need more efforts and though but finally almost ended in failure. :(

In fact, no purel bad people and good people, everybody has good character and bad character, no one is perfect. God say people come to the world and just suffer pain.

Thankfully I do not think too much in these lines.We cannot understand why certain things happen and why certain things do not. So I do not bother too much about it.I can do nothing to alleviate the suffering of good souls . ANd this would all be too complex for me.But it is sad to see these good souls who are struggling [due to no fault of their own ].As far as the other aspect of bad people enjoying comforts, well, who are we to pass judgement on them? Everyones life does go on after all.THe good would not suffer for long[rest assured]because GOd would always come to their rescue, [if not today it may be tomorrow]. I have one conviction that as long as I am true to my conscience and God I will be protected and God would save me.

hi,vijayanths! i agree with you.once i was confused about life like you.at that time i was in bad mood for everything and didnt understand why the bad guys has everything without any pain.but now i am not bothered by this matter anymore.you should consider it in another angle.life is short,why do i make myself be unhappy?i should think how to work hard to get a better life.and this is now i am thinking.so i dont need to envy the rich,just wanting to have a nice day! best wishes for you!
