I am trying to get my freelance career off the ground and I heard about this site called Demand Studios today. Apparently they pair you up with editors and publishers that need material, and you are paid decently per project.
Have any writers out there heard of this or used it before? I don't want to give them any personal information until I know they're legitimate!

They are a legitimate site writing site. I know many people who write for them. Just a suggestion, before applying write a few articles for ehow.

eHow uses Demand Studios, but I don't remember who else does. It's a legitimate company, nothing to worry about there. You have to fill out an application with a writing sample, if I remember right. It could open some good markets for you.

That's right, what Scheng said. I read somewhere on the net, and they say you have to be good in SEO techniques and stuff to be writing for the site. I think that it's very important to have some form of good writing skills and SEO knowledge plus lots of dedication. And they accept US members only. Hope this helps..

I've heard of Demand Studios, I've heard a lot of people here say that they write for them, and that they're a legitimate site who pay good money (for a website). If you do a search on "Demand Studios" in the search box at the top of the page you'll find plenty of discussions about them, and I'm sure that you'll find out much more.
Unfortunately I can't apply there as you have to be American, but I see that you are, so that's good. Good luck!

Demand Studios is definitely legitimate. They own Ehow and a few other sites.
They accept only US writers with strong seo techniques in writing. You can check out the editorial guideline to see their writing standards.
If you are a good seo writer with near-perfect command of English, making $20,000 per year is possible.

Demand Studios is very legit, but very demanding. I've applied three times now, and all three times I don't meet their standards. You really have to have a strong command of the English language and be able to prove it in your writing sample.
I wish you the best of luck, and if you do get in I know it will open a lot of doors for you!

I applied and they rejected me, which I thought was weird, since there really wasn't any material to accept or deny.
Anyway, I went back to them asking if I could apply again and they told me I can't. How have you applied more than once? I'd really like to have another shot at this!

I waited about a month between, and I didn't ask, I didn't even think to ask LOL. Honestly I don't think they are in need of any more writers/ or they don't want anymore. I was poking around the net and found that hardly no one is being accepted. And the main question from my search that I found is: Why are they still even accepting applications if they are just going to deny and say that you cannot re apply?
