Sorry this is just for the US Americans, but your country may have something similar.
Just in time for the holidays...If you are thinking of making a major purchase at BestBuy or Lowe's and you would like to save 10% on that purchase, simply visit your local U.S. Post Office. That's right.. Just ask for a Change of Address Kit. Inside are coupons to help you in your Move. The coupons may be different in your area but when I recently changed my address to a new Molehill, The kit I received had a number of ads and Coupons. Just tell em Mr. Mole Hill sent you.
If you know of any other ways to save a buck or three. Let the rest of us know.

I think I will go to an overstock place for the things I want to get for my house. I will have a Christmas bonus and I think it will be fun to buy all new fixtures for my bathroom. We have a liquidator in town and the prices beat Lowe's and Home Depot.

Yup, that's true! Hubby and I have done that a number of times to save a buck or two and it has added up quite a bit! We do it when we're about to make a large purchase and need to save every penny we can so we go to the post office and get that change of address and the coupons that are inside.

I may pick up one of those the next time I'm at the P.O. I don't buy much for myself but they might have some gifts I want to give for Christmas!
I go to retail me not dot com for coupon codes when I'm ordering something online. They usually have codes that save you money on an order from hundreds of stores.
Thanks for the tip!

That's pretty smart. I knew those coupons were in there but I never thought to go get one unless I was actually moving. In fact you don't have to prove you were moving to use the coupon. That's a pretty good idea, especially if you are planning a large purchase. Even 10 percent adds up to quite a savings on a major purchase.

-slaps forehead- I totally forgot about those kits. I used to pick a few up about once a month when I stopped in at the PO just for those coupons. Thanks for reminding me. :-)

Sounds good, but here in Canada we have to PAY for a postal change of address, so even if ours included coupons (which I doubt) it wouldn't be much of a savings.

One thing they DON'T charge us for is basic health care.

Give me a break. You mean you don't have to pay taxes?
