What is the javascript code?

As i know, with some javascript code we can hack something in internet, but i really don't know how it works, is it similar with html code? What is it? Thanks

javascript is a programming language that is used to make web pages interactive.it runs on your visitor's computer and so does not require constant download from your website.

Javascript is not similar with HMTL javascript is different..
