A couple of months ago, I was so excited when I lost 40 pounds that I posted it here. And promised I would tell people when I hit a 50 pound lost. Well today I went over the 50 pound lost mark to 52 pounds. What a feeling, I can feel myself getting healthier. I was stuck for a while with very small losses, my pedometer had broke. I ordered a new one 10 days ago...and lost 3.2 pounds this week. I go for 12K steps a day but settle for 10K. I have hit 12K twice. Walking really does help. So celebrate with me! Do you have any celebrations? BTW-- My husband lost 77 pounds as of today!

We plan on it, we both are getting close enough that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was told by someone I work with not to lose too much more..but I still have that muffin top. I want to get down to a BMI in the low 20's..I would be thrilled with a 23. But that will take time and another pair of walking shoes or 2. Thanks

Oh, I have not been that disciplined. I eat ice cream on a regular basis and chocolate too. Walking is the big difference.

Oh my goodness! That's quite an accomplishment, and actually an inspiration for myself. I need to lose about 30 pounds and hearing of other people's success.. Is really motivational and really helpful. I have absolutely nothing to celebrate as of right now (unfortunately) that I can think of anyway. So I guess I'll just cut this short. But, CONGRATULATIONS! And keep up the amazing work. By the way, 12,000 steps a day is AMAZING!!

Thanks, but I just try walking around when I would normally be standing waiting. Or I walk a few laps around my van before I get in and of course park a bit father away from my destination. I am lucky, a rail trail just opened by us this past summer, it is wonderful. Nice, clean, level, friendly, pretty and free.

I am shooting for 30 more pounds and plan on being down to smaller jeans by valentines day. I started at a 16 this year and have comfortably loose 10's now. Trust me, you can do it. I am doing Weight watchers and eat plenty. I think it amazes people how much I eat and am losing. Someone actually checked out my lunch today. A Peanut butter sandwich, yogurt, carrots, pineapple and an orange, a bottle of water and a small chocolate mint snack bar. My breakfast was an onion, ham and cheese egg beater omelet with a toasted bagel.

Hi debs, Congratulations you have both done really well. Hope that does´nt sound corny I really mean it. Wish I could celebrate it in person may be that does not signify a lot to some People but it would to me. I celebrate the fact that my Shoulder is recovering and my constancy has paid off a bit with my what seem silly exercises. It´s really hard to stick to a routine but I keep trying it and going at it. It´s very simple tai chi routine and it is really hard to remember to do it. If I can´t get to do it I loosen up like the athletes before a Race and do a bit of walking extra walking I mean. Go girl you can do it congrats again.
