Why don't men put the toilet seat down?

I live in a house with three males and I am the only female. I am tired of falling in the toilet. Why can't they not put the lid down? The other thing that drives me nuts is how hard is it to aim and hit the toilet. They are not the one that has to clean up the floor. Does anyone else have this problem at home?

When I was at varsity I also lived with men - who never managed to put the seat down. But I figured that majority rules. If there are more males in the home then the seat should stay up. I even found myself lifting the seat after I was done. We all got such a good laugh out of it.
I have no idea why they can't aim - but it's better to leave the seat up so they have a wider target...

I have 2 males and I must say, they are pretty good about putting the seat down and not missing.
I guess I got lucky, huh?
I do always LOOK to make sure the seat IS down before I sit down LOL.

Well, the first part of that question is, you need to train them better when it comes to putting the seat down (I always do, but I'm outnumbered by girls in my house).
The second part of that is, unlike women, men don't have gravity working in their favor and it can sometimes be difficult aiming.

I know what you're talking about, Tater;)
My dad and brother were HORRIBLE about remembering that!
Fortunately, my husband always remembers to put the lid down, so I got REALLY lucky!
But, he has this ONE FRIEND who, everytime he comes over, he ALWAYS leaves the lid up and I'm so used to my husband being so good at that that I don't look and, yup.....I fall in.
URRRG!!! I HATE IT!!
I makes me so irritated-I hate when he comes over....
