What is the Advantages and Disadvantages of Bluetooth?

Yes, transfering files to and from, or connecting cell phone calls to PC or any other BT compatible device, COM ports, and I use it often as remote control in my mobile to my PC when I am lying in my bed and want to switch songs or so. Disadvantages are maybe distance limitations, speed limitations (but I think this is not big deal) and maybe for me hard to instal drivers (but this is posible fault of the manufacturer of device not the technology). Brain cancer? Ok, if it can cause it, add BT to endless list of things which can cause it as well.

The advantage of Bluetooth is it is free of charge. Now most mobile phone has Bluetooth feature. So it is convenient to transfer files by Bluetooth. Today the Bluetooth earphone is also popular. So you can listen to the songs from your mobile phone or talk with someone else by the Bluetooth earphone. The disadvantage of it is that usually the connection is within 10 meters. Now they're incorporating bluetooth into cars as well. I have Nissan & I have bluetooth built right into the it. When I'm listening radio or cd while I'm driving & the phone rings, then the music mutes automatically & I can answer the phone without taking my hands off the steering wheel. The advantage of having blue tooth is that if i take a photo when i am out and about then i tend to blue tooth it to my laptop and then i can send it as this is better than finding the cables for my phone aswell as then trying to just put one photo on to my laptop.

NOt sure if bluetooth will cause brain cancer.For me, i think that the advantages of bluetooth technology is that it is convenient to use it to transfer file between the phone and the computer, provided they have bluetooth devices.However, the rate of transfer is too slow due to its technology limitations. Hope the computer engineeers will come out with a faster bluetooth technology
