Is Lucifer really an angel?

well i have heard this, Lucifer is from Latin word, and it's mean "light bearer. I would prefer call Lucifer as a devil or Iblis. From my point of view if we saw from bible or from Al Qur'an (moslem). It's real and they are made from fire, different from an angel that made by god from the light.
And their job is to get human race to follow them to the dark side, for example do a bad thing, etc. Meanwhile angels are God helper, who obey to god instruction to rule the world.
So, i think it's not an angel but a devil

yah. . i think so also wandry. . as i recall also Lucifer mean's "light bearer" . . .and God made the angles to help and obey instruction to rule the world.

I don't remember the story fully, but doesn't le geden say it is a fallen angel?
