There are lot of people who don't eat breakfast and just prefer to have just coffee. They said because they're always on hurry, they don't like to eat early in the morning, or they don't want to. As we all know that breakfast is the most important meal, and skipping from it greatly affect our health.
Do you always eat your breakfast? If you don't, why you skip eating breakfast?

I usually eat breakfast now. When I was working I didn't as I would rather sleep then eat. They say it's easier to watch your weight if you eat breakfast and I am always on a diet. I do believe it and you do seem less hungry the rest of the day. The only time I miss breakfast now is if I am going to lunch or something and I know I'll eat a lot out. If I eat lunch at home, it's just a cereal bar or something light.

You're doing it right! If you eat breakfast you have enough energy that's needed for your work. And you would not felt hungry 'til lunch. That avoid you to eat more during lunch time. By the way have you heard about eating six small meals a day, as the best way to lose weight? Since you're on diet, it could be of great help for you. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your weekends!

I have heard that if you eat a bunch of small meals you lose weight. When I eat a lot my heart races and my doctor told me to eat that way. I have tried to do it, but I've never been real succusful. I think I should try it again, especially with the Holidays comming.

i think you should be asking "why we do things the way we do". It is like asking why some people where shoes and some don't. It's someone's way of life , it could be because one is always in a hurry and coffee is fine with them and for others is because they wanna cut down on weight and for several some, it's because they wake up late in the morning in time for lunch. True that break could be the most important meal in the day but i say , the first meal of the day is the most important, it doesn't have to be breakfast.

I've noticed that when i eat breakfast early in the morning i am hungrier throughout the day. If i miss bkfst I kinda lose the urge to eat for most of the rest of the day. Does anyone else deal with this issue. I love to eat breakfast, though because i feel better in general for the rest of the day.

You're right! But every time I've drunk my coffee I lose the appetite to eat foods. I don't know if it happened to others. That's why I often take brunch because that time I felt hungry. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

I know I should eat breakfast, but I just can't face food first thing in the morning. Also, if I do manage to force some food down for breakfast, I find I feel even more hungry come lunchtime, so end up eating more than I otherwise would have done.

I do have a friend who can't eat early in the morning she said she felt like throwing every time foods comes in to her stomach. That's why she skip breakfast, I think she has some health issues with this. Yeah, mostly if we skip breakfast we tend to eat more on the next meal.

No, I never skip breakfast because it is the very important meal of the day. It is through breakfast that we drew our energy for a whole day activity. If we don't eat breakfast our insulin level will drop making us prone to faint and vomiting. Skipping breakfast is critical which sometimes lead to chronic illness in the future.

I eat breakfast the majority of the time. There are really only two reasons for me sometimes do not eat breakfast as I think it is a very important meal and a good start to the day. These two reasons are -
1 When I've not realised that there is nothing in for breakfast and I don't really want to go shopping when I'm hungry as I always buy extra food.
2 When I'm strapped for cash and have to make a few cutbacks. Not good, but it sometimes happens.

Well I never go on shopping with an empty stomach. Because I tend to eat more and buy anything that I fancy to eat even though it's quite unhealthy. Well anyway it's better that somehow you still manage to eat your breakfast.

I agree with what most people say. I sometimes skip breakfast because I am in a hurry or too sleepy coming from work (I work the night shift). I know it is important but sometimes it can't be helped. I really hate it when my body doesn't let me have breakfast.
@careguarden (5670)

Yeah, we can't helped it. Almost always our excuses is being hurry and don't have enough time to sit down eat breakfast. But still it's not enough. And we hate because we can't control our time.

I always eat my breakfast. I have heard and learned that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It keeps you fueled for lunch later, and without breakfast, you will feel a bit moody for the morning. At least, this is MY theory. I am not sure if this applies to anybody else.
@careguarden (5670)

Well your theory is right. Skipping on eating breakfast could affect our mood. It's because we don't have enough energy to tackle our work and deal with daily stress. That's why in some people it affect on their ability of sense of emotional balance.

Skipping breakfast can lead to significant weight gain. Having said that I usually skip breakfast because I'm either late for uni, or I'm just not that hungry. Or there isn't something that I would like to eat in the morning. What should be eaten in the morning is food that is high in fiber. This will keep you fuller for much longer and will help you reduce or maintain your weight.

You're right it's best to eat breakfast that's high in fiber, like whole grain bread, or cereals that's low with calories and saturated fat. It makes you feel full but not heavy on stomach.

I was the same like you when I was studying. I go to sleep late at night and wake up late as well, that's why I'm often skip my breakfast because I don't to be always late at school. Well when I was studying in university I dont give much importance on eating at the right time, just like eating breakfast. Even though I'm aware the unhealthy benefits it could give.

Hi there!
I try not to skip breakfast. I have gastritis and its really painful when I get too hungry. If ever I did skip breakfast, its only because of an important matter like going to school or having to be somewhere and I am already late. But that seldom happens. I try to wake up early and do things at home early so I still have time to eat a big breakfast before going out, or even a cup of coffee and 2-3 pieces of bread.
The first meal of the day is important because it would give us the energy for the next few hours till lunch time.
Ciao!

Hi careguarden, there's a saying, that starts like this "Breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper" or something like that, i think you also must have heard about it. Doctors and nutritionists also recommend the same pattern for a long and healthy life. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, without it, you may experience early fatigue and prone to stress, which may ultimately lead to depression. I never skip breakfast and try to follow the above mentioned regime strictly. Thank you.

I started skipping breakfast about 3 years ago when I was moved to a different department in the company I work, and they have this daily morning meeting, so I always go to work in a hurry (my previous department had more flexible working hours). But after the morning meeting I always take some time to go to the canteen to buy some light snacks/sandwich. I must admit I do miss eating breakfast at home, because it's not only about eating, but it's also the time use to figure out the whole day, gaze into the morning light, watch the plants grow, and say a quiet prayer for blessings for the whole family. It's an enjoyable time to me.

Oh, I understand what you been through. It did happened to me before, I was also transferred to another department where I deal with the higher management and gives me so much pressure compared to my previous department. And that's why I often wake up late as I always bring my work at home. And yeah you're right, it's great feeling just having the moment early in the morning with natures beauty. It's kinda refreshing.

Some people skips breakfast just because they need more time to sleep and when they woke up, they were always in a hurry. They were sacrificing their breakfast time for their job. It's logical but it may cause of being unhealthy and always rely on vitamins/food supplements.

Yeah, there are so many people tend to sleep rather than eat. I'm one of them, often I got so tired that I prefer to sleep rather than to eat. That's why I tend to skip eating breakfast, though I know that It's very unhealthy. But there are other ways I could to do compensate.
Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!
