I love nature and I love travelling to see some of the beautiful scenery that our country has to offer. The range of natures wonders is continually a surprise to me.
Not only in my country, but in other countries I have seen the most magnificent scenery.
I would hate to live in a barren place where there is nothing from nature to see every day.
I have attached a photo of the Flinders Ranges. They are in the north of South Australia. I was brought up in a town very near the Flinders Ranges.
They are very wild, and quite remote in places. Wildlife abounds in the Flinders including kangaroos and emus. Huge, stately gum trees dot the dry creek beds.
Please view my photo of the Flinders.
I would very much like to see photos of nature from other My Lotters countries.

I love nature and I love to travel. I enjoy nature scenery as well. I've attached to this post a picture of Tung Ping Chau. It's a sleepy island that's 3 hours away from where I live. There are only 2 days of the week where you can visit because boats don't run there everyday.
The reason why I like the small island is because it's just untainted in the sense that it's no polluted by commercial development. In addition to that, since you can't go everyday, tourists don't go there frequently.
If you notice, the rocks on the shoreline look like giant slabs that are stacked on top of one another. It's just such a beautiful place.
I'd like to visit Australia someday. I would be really interested in checking out the Eco Lodges there.

I can see what you mean by this place being so natural. I would love to explore the rocks there.
I would love to visit the Eco lodges in Australia too, but havent had the chance. There is a lot of beauty here which I havent seen.
I dont think my photo of the Flinders Ranges came out, which Im really annoyed about, so I will put it here in my reply to you.

Hi Jenny,
I too a lover of nature but I am living in an area where there is no sort of nature wonders even to see at a distance. I love green and I want to be in greenish environment. A smoke free and a polluted free area is what I all dream about.
I hope I'll live there one day. I have attached my recent visit to a place called munnar in my country and it is one of the beautiful place in a hilly area. Hope you like that.
Cheers... Have a nice day always..

My goodness, what a green place. I live in the drierst state in the driest country in the World, so its not usual for me to see a place so green. Thank you for sharing it.
But tell me, did my photo come out in the initial discussion, as I cant see it.
I will try and add it again here.

Hi jennybianca, your pic of the gum tree was really interesting and bears a passing resemblance to an olive tree. The photos here are excellent but I can't contribute any as a techniphobe and it takes me hours but there are some of my local area, complete with olive trees, on my profile page.
For magnificent scenery we have it all here, plus variety when one drives just 2 hours in either direction, here there is the sea, my favourite scene when it is wild, mountains, olive trees. South it turns into a bleak stony landscape with ancient tower houses standing atop the sea, and north over the spectacular mountain drive there are other landscapes not so dominated by the olives. But always the sea on one side with the most wonderful sunsets.

Where do you live? It sounds like Greece. Although Olive tres are not native to Australia, they are being grown more often now as they suit our dry climate.

For arround 8 years i had to stay in a rural hilly area. During winters, many a times i saw that fog has covered the whole surroundings. I, as staying on the top of a hill, used to feel that i am a lonely man in a white foggy ocean. Those were excellent. Truely speaking every moments of nature is beautiful. So long nature is not disturbed, it's all moments will give you a imense pleasure.
Thank you.

Where I live is fairly flat, but we have hills and mountains a short drive away. I am inland, away from the oceans, but we have lakes.I enjoy seeing them. I think my favorite thing to look at would be the night sky, with stars like diamonds on black velvet. I live far enough away from big cities that I get to see those kinds of sights, especially on crisp fall nights. Last month we traveled in the Ozark Mountains and saw lots of beautiful trees.

My daughter has recently developed an intersst in the stars. She lays out in the middle of the road trying to identify them. As we live in city, they are not overally visible at times.
Thast bit off the topic, sorry!

I love nature too. Living in an urban area sure does lack the beauty of nature though.
I have a few favorite scenes in nature, actually.
The first is the general scenes of changing seasons. I really love the colors of trees in the fall. All of the reds, oranges, yellows, and bits of green here and there. I find it really calming and truly beautiful. I also really like the bare trees in the winter with snow piled on them. It's beautiful, but in a different kind of way. I really enjoy how pretty the first snowfall is as well; until footprints and slush take over.
The second of my favorite scenes in nature were the views when I lived in Tennessee. I love the mountains! I used to look at the window while washing the dishes by hand [even though I had a dishwasher!] and just think. The scenery is breath-taking down there. I really do miss it! Someday, hopefully I will be able to move back. Until then, I'll just visit :)

I live in the country so I'm surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and greenery. Every day I think how lucky I am to live here and to be surrounded by so much beauty.
My favourite type of scenery involves animals in their natural environment, doing their animal things. There are plenty of cowds around here but every time I see them I just look into their eyes and think about the horror they're going to face at the slaughter house, so at the same time the fields full of cows also depress me.
I love seeing places that have hardly been touched by humans like water holes, rainforests and lakes. There are some really pretty places around but unfortunately the selfishness of humans is making these places disappear at such a rapid rate, it is really sad.

I love photos of lightening storms or beautiful sunsets. Even though lightening can be dangerous it can make the most beautiful pictures you have ever seen. I think Ireland and Germany have some very pretty scenery photos like those of all the castles in Germany how gorgeous to look at.
