Do u believe in Birth stones??????????????

I've never heard anything about my birth stone. Is there suppose to be a meaning behind each one. I mean I know what my birth stone is. I have worn it in the past. I don't recall any type of experience from wearing my birth stone. I guess I need to do some more research on birth stones to possibly get a better understanding of what you're looking for in this discussion.
