What Does It Mean to Get Voted as Best Response

Today I noticed I had been given a best response vote. Very Cool, but what does this actually mean? Does it help with my earnings or is it just a nice little award for personal confidenced building? Have you ever been voted as giving a best response and what did it mean for you? Still trying to learn the ropes here on mylot, any help in understanding this would be very much appreciated.

I have been given best response a few times! It basically means that you have responded in the best possible way to the discussion. You have answered the question to the best way you can which has helped the person out or something along the lines of that! Congratulations on recieving a BR and welcome to myLot! Hope you love it as much as I do!

I don't really think it helps with your earnings but it does help to motivate you when you do get a best response. It just means that the discussion starter liked your response and felt that it was the best one. I've gotten quite a few best responses and it makes me feel good to know that someone out there likes or reads what I have to say. These best responses have made me more active here on mylot and I'm always striving to contribute something useful.

It really doesn't help with your earnings, as it just gives a boost to the morale and makss a person feel really good that they got it. It is also a good feeling to give one as wlel. I have gien them, as well, as others have given them to me. It really makes me feel good when I get the best response, and I enjoy giving others the best response, as I know it makes them feel good too. Congrats on getting a best response, as it just means that you came the closes to answering a question maybe that the discussion starter had. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
