What's your favourite gem?

Amethyst, I guess, but I am also quite fond of amber. Garnet is not considered precious, but I sort of resonate with that gem. Of course, rubies are nice, too.

My favorite gem is amethyst. It's also my birthstone aside from garnet. I don't know for whatever reason I have 2 birthstones according to the internet. I may be wrong. I bought this amethyst bracelet about 2 yrs ago which is purple and incidentally my favorite color is also purple. How cool is that?

My birhtday was October and my birthstone was Opal. I like the color because its nearly green or something like pailGreen.have a nice day.

My favourite is tanzanite. Some years back I had bought a book on gemstones. Unfortunately, I lost it. I got some insights into tanzanite from that book. Till this day, I dream of owning this stone some day. I guess it has a lot to do with its intrinsic value. Somehow, it has got ingrained in me that this stone is invaluable.

Opal! The opal is my favorite gem. Being it is the most colorful of all the gems we have to chose from. It reminds us of how extremely brightly something can shine when,it is dispersed with so many colors and sizes. White symbolizes purity. Diamonds (while, absolutely beautiful) reflect the beauty of colors when, light shines upon them. Opals continually encompass that beauty as well as, reflect it.

Green colour was my favourite since my childhood. Hence Emerald is my favourite gem stone. Not only that. Green colour suits me well and I feel it gives positive energy, whereever I go or write exams and the work is done and exam is written well. It matches my birth star also. So I have two emerald rings apart from nine gem stone ring. If Iam going on some work, I will wear one of them and the errand will be successful.

I go with my family birthstones. I like rubies for my daughter, and have a ring representing it. My wedding ring set has sapphires for my hubby (my son was born the same month). And I have diamond earrings for my own April birthday.

I've never really liked diamonds. I love color and diamonds just don't excite me. I really like white star sapphires, it's like looking into another world. I also like sapphires and alexandrite. In the early 70's, I had a boyfriend that bought me an alexandrite ring that was just beautiful. When we broke up I gave it back, gave all his gifts back and I wish I hadn't. That ring was gorgeous and I'd love to have a momento of him, he was so sweet. We're stupid when we're young!

My all time favorite gem is diamond. There something about this gem that captivates my senses. Maybe because for me it's full of mystery. So priceless. Besides diamonds are girls best friend.

My favorite Gem is the Opal. My favorite stone is the Malachite/Azurite (blend)It's Dark Blue and Green and I have many pieces of jewelry made from this stone. I have one Opal ring. I used to have a opal pendant on a necklace - but they are a fragile gem and it broke. :(

It really is hard to pick a favorite. I like tons of different ones for different reasons. I love aquamarine - it is my birthstone. I love the range of colors and the subtle beauty it has. I love rubies for the depth of color and the luster they have. But if I had to pick one favorite, I would probably say sapphire. I love the mystery of the stones when you look at them. I love how they go with just about everything. And it helps that they are the prominent stone on my wedding band!!

I would have to say my favourtie gem is diamonds. I was never that bothered by them until my husband bought me my engagement ring. It has a large flawless diamond in a beautiful setting, its looks amazing. I have had it for over 4 years now and I still sit staring at it - just gorgeous!
