Hi. I am from Romania and I am currently studying in Denmark. I was wondering how many of you visited or want to visit Romania? What have you heard about Romania and what is your opinion about Romania and the people that live there?

Very glad you started this subject, Radu. I'm from Romania too and I'm really curious what everyone has to say about it. Except for Dracula and Harry Potter, lol. I'll be watching this subject with much interest, though I advice you not to get your hopes too high. We're really not that famous

I visited Romania and Bulgaria three years ago. I loved it in Romania because I saw some enchanting looking old cities and towns. I visited some amazing looking castles. I went up a mountain on a chairlift. I found train travel, guest house accommodation and food. I found the local people really friendly. I liked the Romanian language. My opinion on Romania is very high and I recommend it as an very enjoyable destination.

HI I am from the UK but I am now living in Bulgaria. Romania is very close and I would probably drive there from here. I really want to visit all these countries close to me. Can you recommend anywhere particular in Romania?

What are you looking for? There are lots of places (castles, monasteries, cities, the sea side, hiking etc.) you can visit in Romania, but it depends what you like.

The old places are quite elegant indeed. They are left pretty much untouch so the general feeling is very genuine. Imyself was amazed of some cities I've visited (like Cluj for example) Many times we look passed our borders towards exotic places, but we forget to have a closer look at our own valuable places. If you come to Romania, I assure you that you will not be dissapoited by the views, the people or the food! We have excelent tradtional cuisine with no complaints so far! So, random, if you want to pay a visit, you're most welcome. Have fun mylotting and a fruitfull weekend!

I live in the UK and really want to visit Romania. I have been a fan of the Romanian gymnastics team for a very long time and through this hobby, I have met some lovely Romanian people, both online and in real life and I have been trying to learn the language, although it is hard, as there are no classes here so I have to teach myself. Salut din Anglia!

I don't know much about Romania. It just makes me think of Dracula's Castle and the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary in Harry Potter. All fictional things, sorry!
