On gays and lesbians, why do some people dislike them?

Ya right even I dont know why ? I dont like those gays who have girlish habbit and attitude but apart from that I dont have any problem and I like also both s*x . I sucked many times but it all fun apart from that I am normal boy ,now time people should change their thinking

I am not a homophobic person or at least I don't think I am because I don't hate gays, I have a few friends that are gay but I also don't like it thrown in my face either. How i feel about it is if you want to be that way then that is fine but do it in the privacy of your own home. I fully believe that a relationship and a marriage should be between a female and a male. I have two young children and I don't want them to believe that it is alright to be gay..they have become so open about it on television and in the schools, it seems like everyone is coming out about being gay. They are trying to act like being gay is a normal thing and that is accepted which it isn't and I don't think it ever will be like they would like. Just if they are trying to push it on like it is accepted and then this younger generation tries it and either ends up regretting it or ends up being harmed or even killed because of it because it isn't accepted yet.

I think it's partly because it's considered minority behaviour, yet behind closed doors I'm not so sure that it truly is - and I also think it's partly that it takes some people too close to looking at their own sexuality, which they won't face head-on, so they go on the defensive and dislike what they may be hiding inside of themselves.

I know that you wanted people who dislike gays and lesbians to answer, but I could not help but respond myself. As a kid, I used to think that gays and lesbians were disliked primarily by people who follow a particular religion that frowns upon it. However, as I grew up and my circle of friends started to inlude gays and lesbians, I began to witness first-hand the people who dislike them. Honestly, the main reason seems to be that they are disliked by some who do not understand or are willing to understand people who are different than themselves. So if they were straight, this same group of people may not accept them anyway, if there is something they find to be "different" about them.

Hello Fulltank I am not gay and dont dislike gays or lesbian but maybe i have the answer for you question when we are growing up, our parents, community or even religion teach us a lot of things one of those things is: Boys should date girls and Girls should date boys some people take it too seriuos and when they are already teenagers or adults and see gay people, they dont accept it! because we are "trained" to believe that homossexualism is a bad thing!

i think dislike is too strong a word. they are just different. thats all. but they dont need to be disliked. heres the thing, we are born men and women by god. he did not create gays nor lesbians right? so thats basically it.

It's because they're different and being different is bad. Racism exists for the same reason: People like being around their own kind, and they exclude those who don't fit. Uniting against a common enemy is a good way to build rapport with others of your own kind, y'know.
