Barack Hussein Obama: Much maligned, but is it warranted?

Hi people. Through my trawling the discussions around politics, I noticed that Barack Obama comes in for quite some criticism. It seems like he cant win - well, in some people's eyes he cannot. I also notice that most if not all the criticism comes from those of a republican persuasion - so maybe that says a lot. So, here's a little exercise - and be very objective when undertaking it: What is the one thing that Barack Obama has done since becoming the President of the United States of America that has, or will make a positive difference for the people of the United States of America.
