I am in a job but not real crazy about it. I know how lucky I am to have my job right now with this unemployment crisis we are going through. I don't work physically hard, more of an office type environment. I feel very lucky not only to have my job but I have ideal hours, paid holidays, most weekends off, pay is okay but best of all I have really good medical, dental and vision benefits to which I am very grateful. Before I had this job I had to pay for medical benefits and they were about $650+ per month for just me and my kid and that was just medical - no dental or vision. Though I am very very grateful for all of the things my job has to offer and I know it could be worse I still do not care for what I do that much and when I feel that way I have to remind myself of the unemployment figures right now and all that I get from being employed there.

I have been at my job now for 11 years. I am there because of the pay and benefits that provides for my family. I have got to count my blessings that through this economical crisis that I have been able to stay with it. It is not what I love to do nor do I want to be there forever but it does provide stability.

I like my job well enough. Not that it matters much. In this economy I'm just glad to have something.
As for the things I don't like about it; it's part-time, there are no benefits, and I deal with a lot of crap...literally! It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it. As it's close by that someone might as well be me! LOL
Happy mylotting!

Hello ryzach. You have got a nice job with so wonderful welfares. Well, I love my work as well. I have my medical insurance as well as my pension insurance. But I can only get the latter when I reach sixty years old. It is still a long time to go. I have to wait more than ten years before I can get my retirement pay for each month. Anyway I am happy that I don't have to worry about my future retired life. But I guess that I will still work on if my health status allows me to. I wish to stay as healthy as the way I am now.

I do not have a job except my internet writing and other activities. They don't bring in much but it helps. I've been unemployed since the first 2009 and there are no jobs here that I'm physically capable of doing. Offices are installing automated phone systems so they don't need people like me and they are using their computers for correspondence and shipping so again, they don't need me.
I'm glad you're taking a good attitude towards your job. It helps you get through the week and enjoy what you have at home. I hope you're saving some money, too. Even a couple dollars a week will be a boon if you lose that job. Buy an extra can of food next time you go to the store, do it every week. Prepare yourself to lose the job and if you don't, you are ready for anything.

I like my job, oh, when I see me doing my job in my office, I feel that I am wasting my time and I must be doing something else, something from my field but when I compare my last two years to now, then I say that I am very happy that I am doing a job these days.
So, it is not easy to tell whether I am happy or not with my job!

I love my job! I have many perks there as well. I work in a private retirement home for seniors. I am a cook and overnight aid. I have my own staff bedroom with cable TV, with a fridge and coffee pot. I even take my grandkids to work with me, as I babysit them as well. I have no health insurance there, but I do have a pension plan which they pay for.
