Would you be willing to pay higher taxes, if you saw the results & had security?

So on the Oprah show she had two women come on who were from Denmark. She told us that people in Denmark are the happiest people in the world, although they pay 50% of their income into taxes. Americans are not so happy about their taxes being raised... and ours are much lower. The women from Denmark said that they were happy in their country, despite the taxes because they were able to see the results of their tax money at work. All of their streets were in good condition, all elderly persons were cared for, all children had good schools, and they had universal medical coverage whenever they got sick. They felt security and were happy to know that the money was being used on them. So I ask, would you be willing to pay higher taxes if you had the security that is provided in Denmark?
