Do you take in extra vitamins beyond meals?

One of my aunts sells expensive health products,including some vitamins. she deems it's necessary for us to daily take in some extra vitamins beyond meals.and she always takes in them and gives them to her child. but his husband think it's holding a candle to the sun,believing that all the vitamins body needs is contained in the diets.and they both completely resist their ideas respectively,arguing about the queston from time to time. what do you think of it?Do you take in extra vitamins?

Hi CathyLee, I don’t prefer to eat any vitamin tablets myself. I will take it if my doctor prescribes it. I know vitamins are essential to our body and it may not be sufficient in our food. But how can we assess that we are lacking this vitamin or that. I strongly believe if we take anything in excess quantity it will affect our body badly. So better to get it from our diets, eating fruits and vegetable, drinking milk, eating balanced diets etc. else seek the help of a doctor and eat the vitamins tablets accordingly.

I take iron and multi-vitamins because it helps when you cant get all your daily required vitamins. It is also good to get the extra vitamins in your body when your younger, it helps with growth and your immune system. I think i have seen a website where it showed a test that was done and it showed the extra vitamins are helpful. Calcium vitamins are good for older people because it helps make their bones less brittle and less chance of arthritis.

The only Vitamin that I take is Evening Primrose as it helps with the Hormones but apart from that no I really do not take any Vitamins I have tried them but really did not find any difference with them

Generally I would agree with the notion that if we eat a healthy diet, there is no need for extra vitamins. I only take fish oil capsules, because I get very little essential oemga 3 in my diet. My 16 year old daughter is a vegan. She is not a particualy gopod vegan in that she doesnt eat a wide range of vegetables, salds & beans/ lentils. Thus she needs vitamins. She has iron tablets, echinacea, zinc & garlic/vitC/horse radish.

hi,jennybianca! happy to see you again! in fact I hold the same point as you.I believe we don't need extra vitamins tablets unless there are shortages of them in our diets.on the othe hand, excessive vitamins are harmful to our bodies. as for your daughter,of course it 's necessary for her to take in some extra vitamins considered that she is a vegan and doesn't eat meat rich in some kinds of vitamins and minerals.I hope she can keep well-balance by doing this. thank you for your response! have a nice day!

Hello CathyLee2009 this is checkmail and often do take in some extra vitamins in form of food-suppliments like fruits, etc.Yeah our health requires energy to perform for us, so need in more calories and vitamins.Our health requires a lot o energy nowadays, so its natural that alone our meal can't satisfy our health requirement, but have to depend upon some fruits, salads, etc.Yes i do take extra vitamins for gaining energy but only its nature limited and not in artificial suppliments.How about Oranges?

Hi Cathy, I did not take the extra vitamins daily as the cost will be very high and I am sure that I can take it from the diet only if I can balance my diet. But some scientist advised that the diet contained in the food is not stable so that we can not absorb easily and sufficiently from the food. In the antient time, people even did not know what vitamins it is and they can live healthily. I would not like to take the extra ones except from food as I am so concerned the side effect will occur at the same time. I buy the words that it is just like a candle to the sun that it is the rich people's stuff. Have a nice day.

Many people feel they are getting all the nutrients by eating a good diet. Unfortunately, that isn't so. Because we have been depleting our soils, there are less and less available minerals to get into the plants and livestock. It's important to take supliments, but make sure they're good ones, not just expensive!

I do take Vitamins everytime i finished my breakfast.I have three kinds of Vitamins;Centrum frm A to Zinc,Calcium frm oyster shell and Vit.E. I dont think these can harm our Health for me it added for my body needs.Then we also need to take healthy food.vegatables and fruits everydays. Have a nice day my friend CathyLee2009.

Hi cathylee2009,Yes,i used to take vitamins daily because it is prescribe by my doctor.Besides, we can't get all the nutrients,vitamins and minerals needed to our body in eating our meals,because we don't have enough complete nutritious foods daily. In my case i need to take vitamins as well as my family.Thanks,Good day!

in fact i am short in vitamins because i am so lazy that i often forget to eat extra things for it for health product i never have them i think logical food and ertra fruits is enough

I think it's hard to get everything you need from food since a lot of times the food we're eating is really unhealthy or lacking what our body needs on a daily basis. And I believe a lot of times we should take vitamins and when I was a child I used to take them from time to time but as an adult, I guess I lack the discipline in the sense that, I might buy it and take it every day for a week but eventually I'll forget about them and stop taking them. But I think it's healthy to take them especially since sometimes you think you're getting all the vitamins and nutrients from the food you're eating when in reality you're not.

hey really that those are if flp products that what iam doing for extra moiney means that products are so good consuming by the film stars and sports stars i know abouit the companby and also abouyt the products and the concepts of the products thats minght be very perfective and very easy to do business and to get good income

They say vitamins boosts your immune system, some medicines say they help to fight saome diseases or prevent???but for me, its still your lifestyle,,,, how you be aware of your sorroundings and the way u eat ^^..

Yes I do take multivitamins and it is very good because I don't believe that we get all our daily vitamin requirements. How many of us count calories in our food not to talk of vitamins. Supplemants don't do any harm to our bodies, so I don't see why we should not take it.
