Do you think with all the short hand and abbreviations that go along with texting that it is hindering one's command of their written language? Everyone's thoughts would be appreciated. Teacher's comments on this subject would be greatly appreciated because you see students writing skills on a larger scale than most people?

I think it is. Our ability to write well seems to be disappearing. All the young ones to is text, it seems. Does anyone send a note, a card, or write anything in longhand anymore?

I agree, it seems its the younger generation that is effected the most by texting. Thanks for your input.
