What TV Charity Events Do You Have?

I was wondering what charity events broadcast on TV you have in various countries. For example today is Children In Need a charity that raises money for projects helping children on BBC1 in the schedule from 7pm untill 2am. The UK also has aired Comic Relief which also aims to raise money for people and has alternated yearly with Sport Relief which also raises money for people but with more of a sports theme. So I was wondering what charity events you know that are aired on TV and if in other countries you have simmerler events to the ones I just mentioned. I belive in America American Idol have produced charity events which is a great idea.
