Who are more advantageous in the current society,extroverts or introverts?

Nowadays,faced with the increasing fierce competition,who are more likely to succeed,extroverts or introverts?I once read a book named "Every character can succeed".Honestly,I'm an introverted person and some of my friends tell me that it's my disadvantage.I know sometimes I'm too shy,which makes me embarrased and easily misunderstood.Can it be called the character flaw?I feel it's not fair.What's your opinion?Looking forward to hearing from you,thank you.
