Test cricket is on the brink of extinction and people are thinkin of new an innovate ways to save test cricket, but the only thing which keeps test matches alive is the interesting competition between bat and ball which is absent in T20 or ODI's which are mostly dominanted by batsman. The Ahmedabad pitch on the other hand eliminated the bowlers completely out of game. Except for the first session all the bowlers were at the mercy of batsman and 1500 runs were plundered in 5 days. whats the use of preparing pitches which will surely end in draw. Pitches for test matches must be competitive. It should not be like batsman friendly. It should have something in it for everyone, batsmen, pace bowlers and spin bowlers. Then only the competition will be intersting to watch. That is the aspect which makes test cricket interesting. Dead pitches like the one in Ahmedabad is something which will bring the death of Test cricket to a closer date. Your view and comments are welcom. Happy mylotting

It is really pathetic that the powers that in Indian cricket continue endorsing the wickets such as the one at Motera as "good". As you pointed out, Test cricket is on the way out and we are doing it no favour by creating wickets like this.In any case our bowling is not our strong point and yet we make pitches which help only batsmen! Why should the paying public be robbed of good quality cricket every time?
