How often do you feel that you are nothing but a burden in this world?

I do feel and think of it often, but as much as possible i cope up with it, i take it as a challenge for me to be a better person and can be a big help to the society. No matter how hard that goal of mine maybe, what important is that, the feeling of being a burden will subside and be gone because of the things that i am doing for others. I am doing my very best just to be a better person. I am doing my all just to have a great future for me, my family and the society. How about you?

Are you sure, even a a day you did not even feel that? I do not think so.. No one is perfect therefore all people feel those things. You are right it is a test from God, that is why sometimes people also feel that they are being a burden, but what important is that, we take it as a challenge and we bring God with it, we need to believe that all of this struggles and hardships, God is always here to help and guide us. The thinking of being a burden makes me do more work and a lot of handwork to be a better person. Don't you think it is good? If i will not think that way, do you think i can do something? Do you think i will do my responsibilities to the society? Anyway we are different, but try to think of it, no people who do not feel being a burden in this world even few seconds cause we are only humans and we are not perfect as God.

When I was still in school, YES would be my answer. i felt the hardship my parents had gone just to get me a good education. But its worth it. I'm a better person right now, with a better job, a great family and parents to talk to when I have problems. With all of these beautiful things that happen to me right now, I would say "NO".

Hi, rjvb26. I feel like this so much when it comes with my husband. I have to depend on him to take me around. I don't have my driver's license. And I would love to obtain one. This is my biggest desires at this very moment! I pray that I can have it this year! With him taking me everywhere that I need to go, I feel that I am a burden to him. I would like to be independent to do for my own self without always looking for him to chauffeur me around. The day will come when I can drive a car legally, and I can't wait to see this day! But, my husband never thinks that I am a burden no matter how he feels.

I don't feel like a burden to the world because I do something productive every day. People would not feel useless if they would just think about the good things that result from their actions no mattter how small these results are. I believe in always looking at the positive side of things.

I feel it that way when I have problems with my family, when they say something really bad to me. Sometimes they just dn't know what they say is breaking me down making me feel like I am nothing to this world. They just dn't care hurthing my feeling. They think whatever horrible things they've said will past and be forgotten as time goes by. Not really. The wounds are healed, scars are left.

I have felt like this a lot and still feel it. I am striving hard to find a meaning in life. I cannot find any purpose to my life. So I guess I am nothing but a burden in this world. But I am studying hard and want to make something out of this life that I have.

Hi Rj, Sorry but i would humbly say i never felt this in my entire life. I am doing my best to create an impact in what i do and as a whole in the entire society. my contribution may be it's small but i know i am helping people in my own simple way--i am into development work and social service and reaching out, talking and being with people is what i used to do. touching one's life is already something to me no way for self-pity and thoughts of being a burden in this world!

Sometimes I wonder whether or not I'm nothing more than a burden to the world, which often inspires me to work harder and aim higher so that I can actually contribute towards it and become somebody. I often question myself on my purpose in life, yet I know that one day in the future, that purpose will be made clear, probably when I least expect it.

I often have much burden in life and work. Sometimes I have to pay much efforts for avoiding burden, because I am a man, and I have a duty for supporting family. I find that every thing will become better after your efforts. In life and work, you continue to think and have efforts, then almost all things will be solved. Do you think?

I've felt this way many times. Like what you think, it's a challenge. A challenge in my life. Life is nothing if there's no challenge. To overcome this feeling, I just always think that I'm better than the others. The best part of me is my competitiveness that I just can't extract in myself.

I feel like I am a burden in this world when my immediate family has a problem and there is nothing I can do to alleviate the burden or even help them find the solution. That's why I always find a reason to broaden my mind to find a solution.
