Foreign bills and coins

While cleaning the closet this morning, I found an old wallet containing foreign bills and coins of small denominations. Most of these were pocket change from international trips. Others were remembrance given by friends who come home from abroad. I'm not really collecting but I think these are worth keeping. This is my way of remembering the travel and/or the person who gave me the token. How about you myLotters, who among you are fond of keeping/collecting foreign bills and coins? Would you mind sharing your reasons for doing so? Thank you in advance.
