I often hear my male colleagues boosting that as they grow older i.e. aged, they are like wine which become more expensive and taste better. To mock or joke about the women, they compared them to bread. Nice to eat when freshly baked but leaving uneaten for long, grew molds and lost its good taste.Do you think you are a wine? And do you agree you are a bread? Men and women may speak up.:-) thanks in advance.

Hi dear!
I have not had any opportunity to hear this dictum. I do not feel like subscribing to this theory. I believe men and women are equally important and undermining any one'importance would be derogatory. We must respect both men and women and treat them at equal platform. I always respect women be it my wife, friends or relatives.

Hi Zandi!
Very true! All of us exit from women and make our grand entry again in women. Men are incomplele without women.

I have to disagree...I have always thought that women get better with age...which is why I married an older woman LOL

eurekafemme well I think the men that say that ought to be put
on bread and water for a month. lol. shame on them. anyway
bread is supposed to be the staff of life. so who among all
the boasting strutting peacocks of men can bear kids, did
I hear anyone? no of course not. only women can do that. yes we
may be bread but damned good bread, the staff of life and
we bear these numbskulls kids. so wise up guys and think again
about what bread really is and how much you owe to us who
bear your kids?.

The comparison is dumb. There are many woman who only get better with age, and there are many men that don't. It depends on the person not the gender.

Yes, it is true, Amybrezik. It still boils down to the person involve, regardless of its gender. thanks for your views.:-)

i think it has more to do with emotional and psychological issues... the older SOME women get the more baggage they carry in a metaphorical sense, however compared to girls they are sweet and innocent or just ignorant about many things that make up the complexities of life. I dont believe this to be about aging and how it affects either men or women.
this is my theory on how this dictum came about to existance.

Huh? I beg to disagree...Women don't feel that way, my dear.We often have more respect and pride in ourselves than those who treat us like thrown away bread.lol
