Hi thecow , well first of all you will have to do a bit of work , and memory , write down on a page what you eat during the day or even 2 days , then check if you can cut down on the calorie intake , do you eat atleast 2 to 3 servings of fruit a day , do you eat vegetables every day , how much refined food do you eat in a day , do you drink sodas or coke , change it with an orange juice or another fruit juice , remember to get a fruit juice without added sugar just natural . it is stated on the confection if refined sugar is added or not , try this small task out , also remember that losing weight is a slow process , and think about how much time did it take to become overweight , so if you realy try you can lose weight over a period of about 5 to 8 months , slowly slowly so you dont affect your bodies metabolism in a shock , taking a nice walk in the morning and afternoon for about 15 to 25 mins , then every week add a few minutes to your walk , F-S-E freshair- sunlight-exercise , and of course a healthy diet

Hello thecow54312 this is checkmail and think that you are only gained some weight, bulging.Accordign to me you must start doing exercises reguarly in order to stay healthy as well as to reamin in proper shape.Increase your physical activities and also try out the stetching excerises, and yes don't alter your diet, otherwise may lose health. The best thing for you is to join an gym and get exercise by an pro instruction in he gym.

Unfortunately if you are as short as you have mentioned, then even a bit of weight or muscles tend to look as too much. You need to be a bit careful and start doing some exercises. Maybe you want to spend some time in the gym, or go swimming or go for a walk regularly for at least 30 mins.
That definitely would help.
Cheers!

Muscles weight a lot more than fat, that's why BMI isn't reliable enough. Do you know the typical male Kelvin Kline model has an overweight BMI? Yes, those wonderful male models...but yes, as they have a high muscle mass muscles also weight, and BMI only considers the total weight, not the fat. It's the same for bodybuilders, women with 7% fat mass have an overweight BMI only because muscle weights more, but hey, it's 7% bodyfat!! Most women are around 20-25%...uh?
That's why I tell you, do not rely on the BMI.
You may consider calculating your muscle mass, there are scales with impedentiometers, they are often available in pharmacies...give it a look, you need to look at %, not BMI.
