Mylot is not organized well.

I think there is lot of scope of improvement in mylot. Mylot should be better organized like popular forums ,people don't get paid to post on those forums but there millions of people posting on those forums because they provide a conducive platform for discussions while most mylot discussions are not that enriching and look artificial and lack depth and participation. Here are my two cents 1.Forum look to every interest. 2.Sticky for good discussions. 3.Interest moderators, they delete repetitive discussions ie discussion that already exists should not be started again. 4.As this is a paid to post site encouragement can be give in form of extra earning for starting a discussion that get more replies. Please give your opinion on improving Mylot.

yEaH. EVEN I FEEL SO.ITS A GREAT PLACE TO HANG AROUND.THE BEST PART OF MYLOT IS YOU GET PAID FOR BEING HERE.THE BAD OR THE NEGATIVE SIDE IS ITS NOT WELL ORGANISED AS YOU SAID.IF YOU HAVE TO START A DISCUSSION YOU HAVE TO SEE A HUGE LIST OF ITNEREST (IF YOU HAVE A HUGE LIST) AND THEN SEARCH THE CATEGORY AND SO AND SO AND SO.ADDING TAGS IS SOMETHING ELSE WHICH I DONT LIKE.ANYWAYS EVENTHOUGH THERE ARE NEGATIVES THIS PLACE IS REAL FUN.JUST AWSOME TO HANG AROUND.IT REALLY ROCKS.CHEERS AND HAPPY MYLOTTING.

Those tags connect to similar discussions. If you look to the right you will see them.

If you can't contribute to a discussion, you should rather not comment.

I have been a member of myLot for over three years now and I like the set up. Yes there are a lot of discussions that are repeated but with new people joining all the time it's hard for them to know that dozens of discussions have been made about which is your favorite drink, Pepsi or Coke? Many discussions are made about the same thing because unless you look for discussions exact wording it doesn't show up in the research. They have made a lot of improvements since I started and I'm sure they will be making more as they see the need. It seems like a lot of newbies want to change myLot with out having been here very long.

I agree with wonttakelong and deebomb, it is alright with me, and it has progressed in the 3 yrs I've been here! The only little quip that I have, is they leave old discussions on here way too long! I think they should be deleted after 9 months! Along with members that don't post for 9 months at a time !

I have been here for 4 years total believe me the way it is NOW is a LOT better than it was 4 years ago it was a bunch of mindless repetitive dribble I am not saying that its perfecxt because it is not there is room for improvement we need open moderators, the mods should not be kept secret we need to see them so people will be more likely to behave themselves we also need to get rid of this ridiculous star rating system I like the pay system everybody earns the same across the board which is fair

Whatever you said is absolutely right. I also want this plagiarism to stop. However, I cannot agree with one of your points. If you want to stop repetative discussion, then you cannot pay a person who has started a discussion more for getting more replies. I will explain myself more clearly. Suppose a person starts a discussion regarding favorite movie. Now after 2-3 months a new user joins. He cannot start same discussion, so he responds to the old discussion. So you are just giving money to those who start a discussion earlier. They will get money even without doing any work. It is more like the referral programe. Also think of those inactive users. They will get paid for starting a discussion a year ago but the money is useless. An active member can make use of that money instead.

hi sagnik^^;; sorry to interrupt here but im confused on what you said "So you are just giving money to those who start a discussion earlier" i think that if am a new user and i respond to a year old discussions, then it's still be my earnings and not those who started that discussion unless they are going to comment back. we are paid here by our effort and work and not by others who respond to our discussions. i mean, for example, i started a discussion and it received 50 responses, i will only receive earning from my started discussion, i will not be paid from that 50 responses...but if i will comment back to that 50 responses then i will be paid for that too...

I agree with you there is a lot of scope of improvement at mylot. But for starters the site in it's current shape is at least a good platform for communication. I think the problem comes from the response to queries of users from the mylot owners, maintainers, service people. For e.g. my blog is waiting to be claimed and I do not have any response from mylot people on what is the status. It has been in the same state for 2 months now, so I have given up the interest of putting my blog here at mylot. So that is one pain area which certainly needs improvement. Cheers! Ram

I agree with you when it comes to mylot's organization. But at the same time though - I don't think they can implement so many changes all at one time. I think there are some veterans in here who are used to the system - and just sort of cope with it. Trust me, there have been many rants and vents regarding the issue. Maybe you should let the admin know!
