Meeting Your Boyfriends/Girlfriends Parents...

The first time I met my husband's parents was when we went out to eat with them. It was his father's birthday two years ago and I remember being nervous. When my husband's mom called him and told us to meet them at a restauraunt, I told him to turn around and let me go back home, that I needed to get dressed more properly! He said I looked fine and we continued on, though we waited a few minutes in a parking lot until his parents got a few minutes down the road. They were very nice though, and I enjoyed meeting them. Actually soon after that I started living with them, and now of course my husband and I are married, so they are my family,

I met my boyfriend's parents when they were in the middle of moving from one house to the other. It was a little awkward because his mother doesn't speak any english (just cambodian), but she was always smiling at me and what-not. His dad started calling me daughter though. I haven't met his sisters - though I don't think I want to. From what I heard from him (and when he's venting) they can be inconsiderate.
