would you imagine a geek? or maybe this big biker dude that maybe served some hard jail time? which do you find is more common and which would you rather tattoo you? this is hypothetical of course so there is no need to tell me that you hate tattoos and people who create/have them.
i just wonder because my fiance is working on getting his license and in my mind hes pretty geeky and not really the tattoo artist image except that he has a glare that scares small children for some reason O.o i'm also pretty geeky but i could get into the business as well someday maybe.

I let their art work speak for itself

that is true i just thought it is funny to think of them as such different people though they are stereotyped very often.

It's been my experience that tattoo artists come in all shapes and types but the thing they all have in common...at least the decent ones...is that they're all artists. I've known some who looked a little geeky and some who were bikers. The guy who did my husband's last tattoo had his studio next to a motorcycle shop and rode a beautiful bike that he had painted. I hope your fiance has a lot of good luck in this business. Word of mouth is very important...I'm sure he knows that...so always give the customer 110% and others will see how good he is and seek him out.
