Hello MyLot friends this is checkmail and want to start an discussion over some healthy eatings.Well i am thinking of starting to use the Sugar free sugar in order to maintain a proper balance between the fats and sugar levels.Yeah raw sugar actually makes us prone to diabetics, high pressure, etc.So to take an precaution, sugar free sugar is best to use in whatever sweet we eat.Well it will also keep our weight as well as our sugar level in control, and keep us healthy. Its also convenient to carry with us and also now affordable to normally everyone.Do anyone here use sugar free sugar? Have you ever thought about using it?

I use sweetener in coffee as its much better for me than sugar. I drink a lot of coffee and would not want to have that many spoons of sugar in a day! I use sugar in baking as I have not found an alternative to use in my baking which works as well as real sugar.

When my brother was around, yes because he had Type 1 Diabetes, but other than that, not really. I will use it every once in a while, but not like I used to.
Also, for the record, YOU CANNOT GET DIABETES, TYPE 1 or 2, FROM SUGAR!!!
Diabetes, this goes for Type 1 and Type 2, are all genetic. Someone in your family has to have a history of Diabetes somewhere. My brother got Type 1 Diabetes from his great-uncle. It is genetic.
Okay, now that I have made that clear, sugar is okay, so long as it is in small dosages. Meaning, do not use a lot of it. I know people love to use sugar, but I don't recommend using a lot of sugar. Use very little.
For Diabetics and Hypoglycemics, this is in HYPOGLYCEMIC CASES ONLY, if a person with Diabetes or HYPOGLYCEMIA is feeling strange or light headed, then it is okay to give them a little sugar because that will get their blood sugar, or blood glucose, up a little and they will not feel so light headed or dizzy anymore, but remember, this is only when they have low blood sugar. This happened to my brother once before, and what saved his life that time was him having some sugar from a regular sugar packet. His blood sugar was under 60 and dropping, and we had to act fast.

Hello rogue13xmen13 this is checkmail and thanks for respondign to the sugar free sugar discussion and am agree with you in case of diabetics, that mostly its because of the genetic order(harmony)within the family. But still there are some ill effects due to raw sugar. So its preferable to use the Sugar free sugar, just as precaution purpose in case of diabetics.Else can consult the docs before having it.Keep it up, nice knowledge and also take care of brother properly.

I come from a family of diabetics and my mother uses sugar substitutes for over ten years now. We have tried different brands, but a year ago stuck to one particular brand that is made from real sugar and not asparteme. Contrary to popular belief, sugar is not harmful to diabetics if used in moderation.
I am not diabetic and one reason that I think helped me from developing diabetes is my diet preference which is more of tomato and tomato based dishes. Also, I don't drink cola even if it is sugar-free.

Hi, checkmail. Yes I do use sugar free. I use the brand name Truvia. I love it! I was using Splenda. I use Truvia when I am making my hot tea. I also use it on my dry cereal in the mornings as well. I feel good when I eat this type of sugar.

Hi, calorie-free artificial sweeteners have been linked to serious health problems, so be careful. Research more on this before making a decision.
Read article "Would you still eat sugarfree candies?" in: http://www.benefits-of-honey.com/sugarfree.html

I have been using artificial sugar as the substitutes in my daily coffee and tea however not in the general intake in cooking and others.
I agree that it is convenient to bring the sugar around when we go out, and it's a good way to practise this. However, recently I read on certain articles on the intake of artificial sugar may affect other sickness.
