New Super Mario Bros Wii

This game came out less than a week ago, does anyone have it yet?
I'm thinking about asking for it for Christmas, and I want to know if anyone thinks it is good enough to get it. I've watched a few videos and it looks pretty good, although some reviews have been somewhat critical of it.
So I was just wondering what you think about the game.

I knew it was coming out but i haven't checked it out yet. I love the Wii and I love Mario, so my opinion is that it is probably great. Mario and Lugi have been around forever, and I am excited that they are making a Super Mario game for the Wii. If you get it you will have to let us know how it is. I want them to put out Paperboy for the Wii!

You should check out some of the videos of this game on youtube. They have things called super skills in the game apparently and they are videos of the nintendo staff playing the game. They do some crazy stuff in those videos so just search for new super mario bros wii super skills.

yes i have it i bought it and it is fun it's a cross between super mario 1 and super matio world . It will keep you busy for quite a while with hidden pipes, and 8 levels per world and 9 worlds

My husband and I got this game not too long after it came out. We've had it for awhile but have only made it to the second world. It's fun and not so difficult, but we've been busy and when we do play a game it's usually not this one. It's different then the old one, which is to be expected. I still think from what I've played of it, that it is fun and cool. If you are playing by yourself you can use luigi as a tutorial when you're stuck, I think that is pretty neat. I'd like to talk about the difficulty of the levels, but I like to speed through them and so the only thing I can say is take your time or you can mess up (I often do because I rush through them, typical impatient that I am).

I just ordered it today. I've been anticipating this game for awhile and finally caved and bought it. I won't recieve it until Tuesday.
However, with that being said, I've heard a lot of good things about it. People love the game but generally what people hate is the multiplayer action. I've heard that it's too difficult and takes a lot of practice to really get in sync with each other so you're not killing someone by falling off a cliff.
Otherwise I haven't heard too many bad things about it.
