I would go for the Real Time Experience coz it helps to improve ourselves nd we develop an better understanding of the scenarios in life where some people suffer nd strive hard for their food nd on the other side there are ppl who spend money like water.
So i think tat real time experience helps a person to mature nd understand other people in a better way.this helps atleast some to help the needy nd the poor ones.
while coming to the bookish knowledge its nothing but experiences of other people some would learn from those nd some might simply ignore.
Do U go for Bookish Knowledge or Real Time Experience in your life?

sunnycool,
I agree with poona_m's comment in some sense. It is always better to learn from others' mistakes rather than making them ourselves. Learning those experiences from books are the most handly and efficient way. Of course, we can learn experiences from our friends and people around us, and even from media.
Our own experiences are important as they definitely help us grow. However, not everyone can learn from the experiences that they had. That is why some people keep making same kind of mistakes all the time.
People tend to learn from books or real life depends on their character and educational background. Not everyone can understand the content of some books. I usually like to learn from people's experiences by means of sharing. That is not usually from books, but from what I have seen and heard. Observation is often an important factor when learning. As a result, it does not need to be my own experiences. Books are important, too. More reading is always good for everyone of us. From other people's point of view, it stimultes our mind to think at different angles that we might not have had thought of before, so it help improve our tacts when solving problems.
Life needs a balance. So the earth got both the north and south poles.
Have a great week.
Cheers,

yeah i agree with you tat one cannot learn every thing from his real life experience coz life is precious and we cant spend all the time learning but at the same time we cannot depend completely on the books where they have explained about their knowledge.thank you for responding.gud day.

For each his own. I believe that different kind of people need different stimulation. being from India you might be well aware of people going to various saints and babas tolearn tolive life better. These saints and so called babas tell them what they already know like "do not lie, do not commit sin, live simple life, bring good thoughts to mind, pray daily, god is one" and so on. These are the facts that we already know but they need a stimulation from a baba to realise it.
Coming to your topic. Experience does add value to your personality but it doesnt mean it would always help you live a better life. Some negative experience may absolutely destroy your life. So many experiences are better avoided. Its said one learns from mistakes but its better to learn from others mistake than making your own. And booiks are a big help in that case.
Forme experience comes before bookish knowledge. But that doesnt mean I would not read a book. I woudo that.

may be right but one shouldnt go for the bookish knowledge either.coz you learn more from your own experience when compared from others experiences.
At the same time i am not asking you to experience anything like jumping from an hill which wouldn't leave any thing to learn from LOL.
there are some things which can be learnt by yourself nd nat many from reading books.thank you for responding poonam.gud day.

Real time experience is any day more important than Bookish knowledge. Having said that bookish knowledge is not always irrelevant. There are theories, strategies and formula which if you know, you can perform your job better. You get these by reading about them in books etc. Then you have got to implement these at you place of work to get the real time experiences. For me both go hand in hand if they complement each other then you have the mantra for success.
Cheers!

one who can implement the knowledge learned from books helps him to acheive bigger success in his life.hence both are required but the real life experience shows the results whether you have implemented the knowledge learned from books.
Thank you for responding.gud day.

Well I think both are very important and need to coexist in order for our knowledge to be complete. There are somethings that can only be taught by real time expereinces and there are some things that can only be taught through expereience. In reality the order of learning should be booking followed by practical or hands on experience.
I am thinking that for some things like formulas, those can only be learned from books who are reporting years of work done by many scientists. However how set up small business may take some amount of bookish knowledge as well as some amount of street knowledge.
I think however if I had to choose I would go for the bookish knowledge and then hope to get the practical knowledge after that because I believe that with the book knowledge then I will somehow be prepared for the practical situation however the reverse may be more difficult especially when extreme technical know how is required

if every one wants to learn completely from the real life experience afresh then it is going to cost them a lot rather than that we can take some guidance provided in the books which explain the obstacles they have faced so they help us to avoid those difficulties in our real life.so some should be learnt from other experiences nd some must be learnt by ourselves.thank you for responding.gud day.

Hi Sunnycool
For me it will still be my experiences that will lead me to a better life. i believe in the saying that "experience is the best teacher" so what i am now is a result of how i faced and enjoyed life experiences--those ups and downs, happy and sad events in my life made me strong and made me a better person. It provided opportunity to bring out the best in me. Inputs from the book are great and very ideal but reality is the opposite.

every individual has its own way of learning and coping. so be it. but for me it will always be experiences. those that i learned from the book will always serve as guide and "ideals" in dealing with life but i am more concern on what is real--the outside world... thanks friend for bearing with me!

Well! I think its both. First comes the book and then the personal experience. Why? Because if everyone would start depending on his or her own experience then everyone has to start with ABC and no one will ever reach XYZ. Its reading those experiences from the book which allows you to move further and continue from where someone has already left. But believe me one really cannot go according to the book. Everyone comes across same things but in different situation, everyone has his own thinking, own beliefs and own mind frame and you simply cannot rely on the book. This is what life is "the personal experience". Theres a very famous saying,
"Meaning of life cannot be told. It has to happen to a person."
Enjoy :)

Knowledge for most of cases is mistaken for information . Most of people do have information of what can be done if his is the case and what not to do, what is good for them and what is bad . But this information or what they call knowledge is of no use when it comes to real scenanrio. Here experience comes to picture.Thats the distinction between informative and transformative, later comes under experience.

Travel guide books are wonderful to read but it is visiting the destinations that matters most of all. Having personal experiences in overseas locations can be really enjoyable. I love to visit tropical islands and attractive looking cities.
I have read some books about caring for dogs but owning dogs is far more of a delight. I have two miniature poodles called Secret and Magic.
I have read about clutter clearing but actually doing it gives excellent results to my home. I think that having real experiences is a way to have a better life although reading books gives a good foundation to later knowledge.

Hi maximax8 i really like the way you spend your life by travelling.Even i wish i had so much time as you had but my work doesnt allow me to do so.you are really lucky to have visited so many places.why you have named your poodles as secret and magic is there any logic behind it?
Always the Real life experience would help us to learn more rather than wat books exhibit.thank you for responding.gud day.

i agree. i think life experience is a better teacher than reading but then again there are some things we cannot experience so we can only read about them. both are valuable in learning and enriching ourselves as people. knowledge is power and i do not mean that in the sense of power like in government or the corporate structure but just being able to be capable in our everyday lives.

yeah one cannot complete go for either of those two coz you cant spend time knowing every thing by yourself.there are certain things which help you to acheive more knowledge so we cant miss out those. thank you responding.gud day.

As they say, experience is the best teacher and it is. There is book that would tell you how to write but none would tell you what to write. A book will teach you how to talk but none would tell you what to say. Experience teaches one how to make mistake and correct them. Nothing makes you feel understand something more than experience.

I always keep my book for references, somewhere during the real-time experiences i may need to review a few things, so the books help a lot, but it really is different having the actual experience, You may commits mistakes in books but in actual life, it cost a lot when you do something wrong. so it has to be the combination of the book and actual learning process that guides us for a better life. ( ok this one will not be top discussion coz i responded) lol

yeah we may follow some books for refering coz they warn us about some hardships we need to cross on our way to success in real life.but Real life experience would surpass the bookish knowledge coz our life teaches us more than any other book we read.thank you for responding man.gud day.

well i think bookish knowledge is to get good marks and pass the exams. But real time experiences teach you to lead your life.only when you face a problem, then only you can understand how resolved and accurate thinker you are.SO bookish knowledge make you academically strong but to be experienced in life you need to face real time situations....

the books we learn or follow in our scholing days have nothing to do with our real life except we get some marks and and an first class degree for finding out an job.so every one must spend some time by participating in social programs which can help us to learn a better definition of life.gud day.
