Why do many people consider working on PTC programs as cheap?

They think it is below their dignity to work on PTC programs.I don't understand why they should feel that way. It is a legal way of making money, right?
Of course you will get greater satisfaction when you write articles and make money.
Though I don't work much on PTC sites right now, I hope to spend more time on these sites in future as I am getting a few referrals these days.(I need to work if I need credits for my referral clicks)
what do you think?

I don't think it's below my dignity because right now we need every cent we can get,but it is an enormous amount of wasted time for very little income. I cannot spend most of my day on the computer with a disabled person in the house needing full care, so to use those precious minutes for a few cents is a waste. I prefer to use the time writing my stories and getting them sent to publishers, which gets my mind off the problems we have at the moment.
I DO use paid sites like writing business letters for people that pays $10-15 per accepted letter. They pay ahead of time so if they pick your letter, it's already paid for and the money is instantly yours.
I also write on writer sites that pay for articles as long as you keep writing, reviewing and getting read and reviewed enough to stay in the top 25%. I make pretty good money that way since my work stays near the top in most instances. And again, it's working at something I love doing, so it doesn't seem like work at all.
