Bargello Quilting

Has anyone ever used the Bargello method of quilting? I heard about it yesterday from an avid quilter. I would like to make my first quilt. Although I've been sewing for a LONG time, I don't want to do anything too complicated yet. She said that it might be a good pattern to start with. Any advice?

I just purchased a book on Bargello quilting. Am wanting to give that a try.
I also want to do some crazy quilting.
