Okay friends, let us start a discussion on this perennially enticing topic, "Who or what is God?" and "Where is God?" Scriptures caution us that nobody can know about God fully well in this lifetime itself but the very same scriptures advise us to keep trying to know more about God so that ultimately we will be blessed with true enlightenment about God and our relationship with Him. So this is one such effort to know all your viewpoints so that all of us can hope to get a fairly clear picture about God Almighty. So shall we start?

God cannot be seen or cannot be touched, therefore how can we know something about God? But i do believe in God, in the first place, people believe that everything has a beginning right? Now if we will pursue to study on how the earth was made and how life begun, we cannot answer it even if we are already in our time of leaving this planet. Do you know how the galaxy was created? We do not know, bu i believe it was God who created it. God is everywhere, we do not know that he is there, because we cannot see him but he is there. As you can see, in the absence of God in our hearts, may bad tings happens, but if someone believe in God, very few bad things happens and not even that bad at all. God is almighty and intelligent and he give us the ability of freewill and think of ourselves but not the ability to discover who he really is. Why? Simple, i God will give us the ability to know where he is, therefore the meaning of life in this world will be nothing, the purpose of human's in this planet that he created will be nothing but useless, why? Because people will just wait for the graces and blessings that he will give us. People will just sit there and relax and will not anymore work because they know that God is there to help them and give their needs, which is not healthy for us humans. If we will know about God, then i can say that he is not really God, cause we know something about where he is, who he is and what he is. God does not need to show himself to us, just for us to believe him. There are so many things in life that are unexplainable, it is enough of a proof. Not all things can be understood by human minds. Like do we know where the vast of water in the ocean comes from? Do we know how that water forms? Does science already reached the bottom part of an ocean? Or it like, have you seen ghost? But most of the people believe in such ghost. Have you seen love? Most people feel it and love one another but have they seen the real color and shape of love literally? I think before thinking much about on who and what is God, it is much better for us human's to start with simple things first like discovering little things that are unexplainable, study about how things begun, before we study about God. Instead on asking who and what is God, why don't we think of the present and what are the good things that is needed to be done? I think it is much better than trying to solve a puzzle that i never meant to be solved. It is better to be more productive than thinking of this kind of things. I am sure you will see or notice God in many ways and someways but bot now. Do you appreciate the beauty of the nature? I do.. and i thank God for it. You see a beautiful flower can only blood that good if it is being taken care by a human being, but why do those flowers in the wold grow beautifully without the help of a human? Who take's care of them? Well i think if we will really talk about such topic it will never end, as God is infinite and Almighty. But this topic is very good and interesting, thank God you have a brain that can put up topics like this one.

Thank you so much for your elaborate comment. Like you and many others have pointed out, it is true that "God is everywhere", but how are we to understand this statement? If God is there literally everywhere, would it mean he is also there within the hardcore criminals, terrorists and antisocial elements who so brutally commit so many crimes and bring about misery in the lives of so many innocent people? Somehow the picture doesn't seem to fit well with common conception of God? Please give me an explanation for this.Thanks.

"God is in the bathroom every morning talking to my dad", a kid tells his teacher in a class. The teacher was intrigue about the boys answer and ask him why he was so sure about it. He replied, "Its because I often heard my mom saying to my dad, "for Gods sake, will you finished your bathing and let your kids do take a bath". Of course its just a joke. But in the eyes of a child, God is where we wanted them to be. So, be careful when talking those words in front of a child.lol

Thank you for your nice story and nice comments. Incidentally it proves the all-too-common saying that God is everywhere. But the crucial question is " Do we understand the actual meaning of the above saying or do we simply keep on repeating the same as a routine without attaching much significance to its real meaning?" Do you have anything to comment on this? Thanks.

let me introduce myself,i am an eckist from the ECKANKAR religion the light and sound of god,the teachings of soul and soultravel, dreams the spiritual worlds, spiritual meanings where is this where is that so on and so on etc,now the topic on the creator is very much asked alot on this blog and i decided to just give a most need dicussion in my own topic cause to go around answering every ones' question on god in mylot that would be so tiring for me,i am gonna be short and as much down to planetary as i can be so u can see in the smallest of way, which is still a great path to look on.(1)WHO OR WHAT IS GOD? suffer the little children to come on to me,who do u think are the little children kids in the age group of 5,6,7 no we are the little children we are considered so because of our lacking of awareness and training in spiritual unfoldment,we are far from looking beyond the physical for the truth, men in their small state of mind is searching in the physical realm for a god whom created the many universes to be looking like them, god created man in is image that is wrong god created soul in its image,it is the soul that as the image of god not man in his physical form,so the question still remains who or what is god?god is the great, greater, greatest, living energy source at the highest universe that it as created it is the power it is the power plant,it is the electricity that runs through all that it has created,it is formless, yet still it can take any form,it is all without it we are nothing,it is at the highest it is at the lowest it can be seen and heard by those whom are aware of it it cannot be seen and heard by the ones not aware of it,let me paint a picture of what u r looking for here just imagine, gazillions of shining suns together thats how powerfull and bright the creator is,now a thing so bright only the purest and cleanest of soul can look at this thing in the highest realm, many whom have no idea of what the creator is keeps calling it a him,and thats why they keep looking for a man god,the creator leaves not from where it is to please man that it has created soul within man would have to leave that form and go see it in the highest of worlds where it dwells, knowing what this thing is u will no longer consider it as a he or him,u will not find words to fit this thing cause there are no words to fit it,truthfully my friend i cannot give u the fullest of it u would have to make up your mind to want to visit the higher worlds while u live in the form of man,to see and know more about the creator what i am giving is just a tip of the iceberg, the knowledge of god is so so deep, there is no ending and truthfully each will have to prove this for them selves what i am doing though is opening up a door to u i can only show u but only u can enter on your own,and start the journey if u r so ready for it,may the blessings be

Thank you very much for giving me a glimpse of the ECKANKAR religions's views on God. You have thrown some new light on some aspects of God. Even as you have introduced me to just the tip of the iceberg regarding the knowledge of God, it tempts me to ask you for some more clarifications in this regard. Would you be kind enough to shed some light on what is supposed to be our relationship with God? What exactly God wants us to do in this worldly life and why has he created some of us good and some of us so bad? Thanks for your clarifications. Regards.
