Are you sick of people bagging Twilight?

I haven't read the books or seen the movies, but anything that gets and keeps kids reading, I'm all for.

I have not heard of this site, maybe I will check it out.

Nyahaha. I'm not a fan or anything, but I watched the movie with my girl. And so, I think it was a good one. Haven't read the book though. But yes, people talk about it lot in public, and girls are like head over heels in love with this pale white guy who looks like he hasn't eaten in years. No offense. Haha. I feel embarrassed that I even watched the movie. People just tend to overreact.

I'm a fan too! I am not afraid to say it because I don't care what people think of me. I used to but that kept me depressed all the time. I am a fan of Hanson, which people make fun of all the time. "Mmmbop" is not all Hanson does. Then I've got Harry Potter and Twilight. People think I am obsessed with witchcraft and vampires. No - I am a fan of the Good vs Evil story and the idea that there is such a love that Bella and Edward share. I wear Hanson, HP, and Twilight shirts out in public and you would be surprised how many people compliment me. No one says anything bad to me because they can tell that I am proud to be a fan. I agree the writing could use work, but its the story that matters. :)

Hi coffeeshot: take it easy, i think at least here we are very tolerant and nobody will laugh for telling us that you are a twilight fan. I have started reading the books and i consider it a great book but at the same time i know that people could be so annoying when they don't like something that is as viral as Twilight is. You must understand that Twilight is almost everywhere and that's the reason why some people just hate it. I don't get offended for this but at least i know someone that suffers as you do: my little sister!. Lol. XD. Thanks for starting this discussion. Calm down, there's nothing to worry about it, i think, just enjoy the saga. Have a nice day.

i really like the saga, and the movies. i love the story of edward and bella!! its soo sweet- i can understand u!!

I am sad to say that no matter how many times you Twilight fans say that the series is a good one, I will never, ever read it. I love books but that is one I refuse to read and I still find it rediculous. I could find, copy, and paste together a better saga than what she could write. And I must say, I do lose respect for people when I find out they read that. At least grab something of substance.

I do know that a lot of people like it..I know my grand kids had to have all kinds of twilight things, so i just went & got all i could find of that twilight stuff, like the bags , wallets, t-shirts etc for my granddaughter..I personally have not read any of it myself but it must be good since so many people like it....Things like that does not bother me, if someone likes that, its fine....We cannot try always to please others , we have to do whatever makes us happy...If you are a fan than thats wonderful.....I see no reason to poke fun at someone for liking certain things...As far as comments about it, i have not heard any, but if i do i will just say "well my grandkids love it so i buy it for them if that makes them happy"........

In fact I like Twilight movie than the book. As the movie already deleted some unnecessary parts from the book. I read the Twilight books and I have to say that I don't like Bella's character. I feel bored to her. I don't like a weak person like that. She is so young, but she feels hopeless when Edward left. She even takes a risk now and then and wants to die. I really don't like that. I love China

Not at all. I think there are alot more Twilight fans then not. I have not heard anyone bagging it. I think its really good plus my daughters love it too. As for the stars being on Talk Shows the audiences go crazy for the actors. However, I don't really care what others think I like what I like and that is the way it is. Don't let anyone make you feel embarrassed for being a Twilight fan.

I did like the Twilight movies, but I haven't read the books yet, so I'm not really sure if I agree or disagree with the critiques. But I think it's not wrong for people to say their negative opinions about Twilight. If the fans of Twilight can say how much they like it, how come the non-fans can't say how much they hate it? Both are entitled to their own opinions.

I have not heard anyone bagging the book. I have not read Twilight and I read a book and decide for myself if I like it or not. Everyone does not like every book so if you are a Twilight fan than that is okay and you should not feel embarrassed to admit it even if someone else does not like the book.

Well, we all have our like and dislikes. I'm not a fan of twilight either but i have colleagues who read the book and are even excited to watch to movie. I think it's already showing in cinemas here in our country. I see nothing wrong when someone is a fan especially if they were able to read the book. I remember when we are at a cab and two of my colleagues were discussing the events in the book that I thought they were just discussing a fellow colleague but it seems that they were actually discussing the book as if it was in real life and we just have a good laugh. There is nothing to be ashamed of if you are a fan of something, especially Twilight, the characters and the story is cool. I'm sure some of those Twilight haters love Twilight too but they don't want the world to know, so instead they criticize other people. Just relax and enjoy the new saga New Moon, I've seen the trailer on yahoo and I can't wait to watch it on theater.

It was a great story and she did a really good job pulling you into it. That is why she has so many fans and the movies sold out. Anyone who says something bad about it that hasn't picked up the book, should keep quiet. I can't stand it when people don't like something and they bash it. I just want to tell them to put their attention into what they do like.

I agree. My orchestra teacher is like that. She was absent from school just to watch new moon. She owns 10 carboard figures of twilight character. She went to see the newmoon 10 times with each of her card board. She only talks about them and I hate it. Im like she is dumb..

Honestly, I don't see what all the hype is over that movie. I read the first book and thought it was boring and flat, and I tried to watch the movie but it just seemed even more boring. However, I keep my opinions to myself especially to people who might like what I don't like at all. Because there are so many things I like that a lot of my friends might think are stupid and it's kind of annoying when someone keeps trashing the things that you like. So, you shouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed or whatever at liking something because of what other people will say.
