Hello. When back at home, I would use my own computers, with internet connection, for all my communication needs. But, when travelling, I often have to go to the internet cafes. Most the places, the services are very good, and fees are not that expensive either. The only problem is that the cafes get very crowded some times, and I have to wait a long time to have the turn. How about you ? Do you use the internet cafes often ? Are you happy with them ?

I've never entered into an internet cafe before. Most of the time I use my internet from home. We can get free wifi from cafes or fast food chains such as McDonald, Old Town Cafe, Starbucks etc. Then people would take advantage of it and will be sitting there for hours with just a cup of coffee.

That would be very nice, surfing the internet while enjoying a nice cup of coffee or a snack lunch. I didn't know Starbucks have the wifi facility. Of course, I do not get to the coffee shops to often. I will try it next time. Thank you for the information.

Hi It is a nice place except for the traffic. Traffic jams all day. It was lovely though. I have since used another internet cafe in Mexico. That was great too sailing and swimming in the Pacific Ocean.

I seldom go to internet cafes. Because i have internet connections in office and home. And when i go travel, i don't have too much to search on internet, therefore i only went to internet cafes for 2-3 times.
Personally, i don't like the atmosphere of internet cafes, it is, as you said, crowed, and most of the people are young men, i have heard lots of fights happen in those places.

Hello April. I know what you mean. With many young people crowding in the internet cafes, there can be arguements some times. That can be fights too. It also depends on the location of the cafe. The owners of the cafes would sense that too.

Hi, when i am at working, i use computer of the company. After i go back home, i use my own pc. But actually, because i am a mother, so i seldom surf on the net after working. Well, when it comes to travel, if i need to use computer, i will go to a internet cafe. But you know, because most hotels now provide access to the internet, so frankly speaking, i have only gone to internet cafe twice. Well, most people in the internet cafe is teens. So i seems i am a little old in there.

Yes, you are right. Most of the people enjoying at the internet cafes are young people playing online games and chatting with online friends. That seems to be the main business at some internet cafes these days. Well, the cafes are doing good business.

i never came to them so often in the past so it wasn't for a real attitude...it is true that in last periods almost all internet cafes disappeared soon in the place where i live..

Oh really ? Why was that ? Why did they disappear ? Was it because they do not get enough customers there ? Probably the location is not very convenient fo customers to get to. Yes, location is very important.

I've never been to one. I have a pc at home & connection. I'd imagine traveling it could come in handy. I've only seen one net cafe (and it's not in business anymore that I can recall) but McDonalds has it so you can use it there for a fee. Or go to a public library to use the net.

Internet facility at a Public Library would be very good. I suppose that would be free of charge too, right ? McDonalds would charge some fee. Is the rate farely reasonable ?

Our local public library does have free WiFi and they also have computers you can use if you do not have one free of charge. McDonalds here, it varies... some charge you to connect other's don't. I know some coffee chains have free WiFi as well

Hello. I do not go to internet cafes when I am at my hometown. I have the internet connection at home. But, when I travel, at some places there are no internet connections. So, there , internet cafes are very helpful.

McDonald's provide internet services too ? Oh, I didn't know that. That would be very good for the people who come for lunch or just for a cup of coffee. They have many customers every day, must be good business.

Which country do you come from? I'm from China, and here there's no internet cafe as far as I know. But there're many Internet Bar here. But the environment of Internet Bar is not good. It's noiseness, it's not very clean, it's not very neat, and it's not very expensive either. I barely go there. My laptop is always fellow with me, and I'd like to go to Mcdonalds or KFC or any other places where provide wifi access to browse internet.
Have a nice day :)

That is excellent. Yes, there can be a number of places which offer the wifi service. I carry along my laptop whenever I travel. Places with wifi service are of course the choices to sit down and work on my laptop.

I have internet connection and use it in my home PC. However, prior to this internet connection, I had to go to a local internet cafe to surf on the net. I used to go there so often that soon the owner of the shop became a very good friend of mine. We still communicate when we can afford time.

Sounds very good. Yes, the owners of internet cafes are very friendly and the services are very good, very efficient. Of course, they know their business and work very hard to be successful too.

Yes I do. I have a computer but me and my brother wanted to test our gaming skills to each other. So what we do is go out and look for an internet cafe nearby. As you said sometimes internet cafes/shop are very crowded and we have to wait long hours for our turns. But we can wait and when it's our time to play, it's game time!

Oh yeah, internet cafes are most popular for people who like online games. I am not good at games myself, but it is very exciting to see people playing the games and enjoying, day and night. I suppose some people make a lot of money too.

Yes, that's right. I travel overseas on my business trips. Some times, I have to stay at places which do not have the internet connection. So, there, I have to find internet cafes to keep updated. The services are generally very good.

I use internet cafes everyday, hehe. You see, I used to have my own internet conncetion at home. But my parents had it cut off, since they think that my brothers are too addicted to the internet that they don't do good in their studies.
I can't live a day without being online. That is, if there's an internet connection/cafe in the vicinity, I'd really have to be online.

I understand your parents' decision. Good that there are internet cafes in the area where you live. You can atleast make sure that you do not miss the communications you have to do.

I used to visit the internet cafes when I did not have a net connection at home. But gradually it was becoming very frustrating coz not only could I not visit the cafes at all times (say, midnight LOL), they were so crowded most of the times that there was no privacy working there. And of course people would just breathe down your neck to make you as uncomfortable as possible so that you just get up and go…I’ve taken a net connection at home since then and it’s a big relief.

Yes, the internet cafes can be veru crowded at times, and very noisy too, participants having a nice time with the programs they like. It is nice to see everybody enjoying, some times.

I seldom need to go to the internet cafes. Because I have internet connection in the office and home. So it is not necessary for me to go to the internet cafe. Especially the computers in the internet cafe may not be better than my own computers.

Yes, of course, when you have the internet connection there is no need to go to the internet cafes. More convenient to work from one's office and home. More relaxing, I would say.

I used to go to internet cafes before. But now, I rarely do. I have an internet connection at home and in the office. So there is no need for me to use other connection. When I am out on travel, I use my usb internet using smart bro network. So I can connect to the internet where ever I go out on a travel.

Long time ago, I used to go to internet cafe almost every week. Although the fee was cheap, the service are very good and comfortable. In the weekend the place will be crowded with teenagers and I don't have a chance to use the internet. However, today I don't have to do it again because I pay for my own internet connection. Now, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want.
