Oh my!! it is my first time to notice it. I've read somewhere in the response of someone on the topic I posted, she really copied the response of the one ahead of her. Of course before I will give my reply to it, I would read every word of their responses.. Oh!! my why she did it? She is new anyway, I can tell it through the posts she has but.. that should not be. Did you experience something like this in your posted topics? then what did you do? I don't know how to tell this responder not to do it again.

This is becoming a plague on here and there have been many users caught doing it, reported and banned.
This one is no different.
There is no 'first time', 'second chance' or any other excuse. If a user cannot post their original work here then they must GO back to where they came from -immediately!

double posting is not a problem to me if I see it im my posted discussion. But when I see somebody using the same exact word from another responder, that is another thing. I know the person who has the original words. She is my long time friend here but the copy cat is just a newbie who has only 50 plus posts. I pity on her but she whould know her lesson.

Hi Bebs,
That is why mylot suggest that we should review other's comment before we summit ours, I have seen such kind of topic before -they are angry because their idea is plagiarized. Frankly, it is very hard to judge whether the concept is being plagiarized as somebody did not see other people's comment before they summit theirs. It is quite a chance that they have same thinking and the same expression.
Sometimes I will go to mylot directly from my e-mail summary, thus I will not read other people's comment. Under such circustance, I am not sure whether I post the same comment as other mylotter.

I think the person who copied the concept words by words is stupic as it surely hide a high risk in his account once he is detected by Admin. I see that people will plagiarize other's comment with different words. If the guy who plagiarize use the same words, he is stupic that we can not save. Here as a member of mylot, hope that we can kick those guys out if they really did it.

Bebs08! I did not notice it. But, I do know that this has happened before, to me that is. Someone told me that someone copied my word for word response. MyLot suspended my account and I was unable to post. Members and myself had to fight my way back in. I don't know why people will do this. My guess is that they are just too lazy to think of their own response to say. They can't come up with a response, so they copy others responses. When myLot finds out, they may get their account suspended..

It hurts all of us. Those who cheat their way to payout get part of the earnings that honest users should be getting. If one gets away with it they tell their friends and they will join too.
Remember the site 'Ciao' that closed its doors because there was too much 'plagiarising? It may seem that it does not affect you but it definately DOES and that is why it should always be reported so that Admin can deal with it.

Hi MysD, I really admire you because you are so serious in dealing with these people who are cheaters. I remembered what happened in CIAO too. And you are absolutely right!! people who are doing this should be taught a lesson and that is... total banned from the site. Thank you for your concern.

Hi Bebs! Yes, in other discussions, I've noticed a lot of copiers actually. Maybe they want to earn but do not have the capacity to write their own ideas so they are just copying the thoughts of others. With my own posts, no one has really copied word for word but I spotted some who only copied the ideas of the first respondents and it was really so hard to rebuke them because they might say, they did not copy but it just happened that they have the same ideas. However should I experience a word for word copier in any of my posts, maybe I would directly tell him not to respond anymore if she has not idea of his own.

hahahaha!! you will really be surprised about this my friend because it was your responses to my post which were copied by somebody. Maybe she likes your response and she wants to have the same thoughts.. but she copied the exact same words you wrote. She just added some of her own at the beginning and at the end. But when I read it, It sounds familiar so, I checked and it was from yours that she copied. hahah try to see it by yourself Go back to my topic.. " Are you an avid shopper?" There you can see it. She is a newbie here.. you can tell it by her number of posts. let me know after you check it.

Ha!ha!ha! Indeed she copied my response word for word with slight typo error, ha!ha!ha! I can't help but laugh and pity this woman. How can she do that without even thinking we will know of course that she just copied her answer. The woman obviously does not know how to think! Ha!ha!ha! Is it stupidity or what? I don't know how to call her. This woman can't survive mylot if she will only copy responses. She should think!LOL! If she has no capability to compose her own, then myLot is certainly not a place for her!

she included your response in the middle of her own (or maybe that's not her own too? ).
that's so obvious! both of the responses are in the same page!

Yes, I have encountered one user who has been plagiarizing, but not in my discussions. So, what I did before I went through his profile and checked his activities. He did exactly what you have come across in your discussion. He copied the response above his! It's just so unfair to the original respondent and I can't tolerate this kind of things, so I reported the 'abuse' to the admin. I don't go to every discussion and look out for them, but if I see one, I will report. They should know that their accounts could be suspended or terminated because of cheating. Maybe you can tell that to the person you mentioned above.

Plagiarizing is a serious problem in all earning sites. People would do everything to earn extra bucks (and there are lots of them). Sometimes, it even destroys the reputation of the sites if not controlled and given appropriate attention by the site owners. Hope that in mylot, many of us would be vigilant and report all inaapropriate acts.

Hi fulltank, I checked back her response because am planning to send her another message after I read all the reactions here but I can't find it anymore. I guess it was removed already. I don't want my topic to be removed because one respondent copied other's work. It is not my fault.. ahaha the one who copied will be the one removed.. not my topic...

Well, sometimes since this was a New person they might not be aware that this is not acceptable here, and they need to not do this in order to keep their account here, but then it could be someone deliberately doing this as well but you really never know. I have seen it from time to time places around here, and it can be annoying. I also have had people copy one of my discussions and try it on as their own as well. So you never know.

Bebs this is our community and we should all work together to keep it clear of cheaters. We are all friends here and there is no place her for those who want to cheat to reach payout. They are cheating on all of us.

I think all you can do is post a reply to her response, that her post is obviously copied from the one above. If she is new, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It does sound a fair bit like obvious cheating though.
Perhaps tell her, that if people are known to do this, they are likely to be reported.
I have not had that particular expreience. Although I have had 4 word responses. I just ignore them.

I planned to do that but I can't find her response anymore. I guess it was removed by the admin already because somebody reported it. I did not plan to report her I just told r=her in my comment that I already read her response exact same words from another responder..

I have not noticed that one yet but a week or so ago there was a beautiful post here that was copied word for word from elsewhere. It was so well written and so I looked and sure enough....it was a very popular writing. There were no credits given to the author and the poster wrote it as her own. Maybe she did write it but I asked her and got no answer so who knows.

No, she must have done it by mistake. Sometimes, it happens that we push 'post' button and the next page does'nt appears or it stopps at some point. Since we are short in patience, we use to press F5 to have the page appear to us. but the bad news is that it reposts the response and you can see the same response appearing twice in a discussion.
So, she must have done like that but as a good myLotter she must have appologized about it!

Corrycrystal, you are correct!! the words are exactly the same except some little additional just to appear not obvious. I know the original responder because she is my long time friend here.. but the one who copied? I don;t know her at all.

Nope, it wasn't the same user. She has clearly copied the response. I have read the response myself. The discussion topic was mentioned in page 1 if you have not missed it.

Sounds like these posters are trying to cheat the system. You know that makes me angry. It is because of people like that, that those of us who obey the rules and don't cheat are punished. By doing that it will cause the rules to be changed making things a little harder and what will the person who is just coping responses do? Change? No they will move onto somewhere else where they can cheat

There have been reports of copy cats here in the site. I feel disgusted with these people who copy other peoples' responses, thinking that by cheating they can earn more. I have nothing against people wanting to earn extra money online, but cheating is so low.

hi i haven't noticed that. just report him to the admin. that's the least you can do. or just comment on the one concerned. anyways, there's no harm in trying.the admin will be judging fairly.

Hi Bebs, I responded once to someone on my friends list who wasn't really a regular friend, but I thought the comment back was so nice I opened it to check the discussion. Imagine my suprise to find that the same comment had been given to each responder with just an indivual word change after the obvious copy and paste job. I remarked on it and the poster came back to say I was wrong, each response was individual. As it clearly wasn't I reported it as one can't copy and paste identical responses, the responses were deleted and I deleted the person from my list.

I think it's not allowed, that's why mylot will only allow a user to cut and paste ones you reach the minimum number of posts. But i find it funny that someone who is not yet able to cut and paste a response is able to post the same response verbatim. If she's a newbie, I think she needs to be guided and give her enough time to adjust. I'm sure if given enough time, she'll learn eventually. Cheers!

To me, it doesn't matter if the title or the responses are similar but not the same exact words? I know that there are some people who have the same idea about things but if the idea is same exact words even the punctuations? that is really copied or duplication.
