This time around when the Eden Gardens hosts an ODI between Sri Lanka and India ,it shall be under renovation and around 43000 seats would be available. Thanks to arrangements made by the Cricket Association of Bengal, all seats shall be given to its members and member clubs. Not a single seat shall be available for the general public. It seems cricket these days has also become the domain of a select few. What do you feel?

It is not fair. But what is the reason behind it?It is the time to take some initiative. The issue should be highlighted in newspapers and new channels.Cricket association of bengal is going to become property of a few people.

The reason is simple.Normal capacity of Eden is 1 lakh. Now due to renovation work it has come down to 43000.Thus, instead of proportionately allocating seats, all members are being accommodated thus there is no place for the paying general public.

It is very bad. The cricket bosses think they can run the show without the public. They are in for a rude shock. The cricket team is going to loose all its good will, and one day they will be begging for the crowds to return.
