Alternatives to Cable Television

Hey guys, if someone does not want to use cable connection an pay for the hefty subscription fee, what do you think are the alternatives for him/her? One of my friends says,he wants to find an alternative to cable tv. Can we watch TV on PC or something? Please let me know your thoughts.

My ex daughter in law has netflex. She said that is almost like cable. I haven't checked into it but she said that she only pays like 9 dollars a month for upgraded section. Maybe he check it out and see. Maybe a satalite might be better too. I know I only pay 54 a month for like 200 channels. Good luck to your friend.
