When a beggar ask you money in the street, you will give money?....

whenever i see beggars on the streets old or young alike i give them food instead of money.i am assured that they will eat the food, whilst if i give money they might just use it to satisfy their vices.

when I was a child, I thought those people are so pity, and always gave money to them. When I grow up, I found that some of them are begging for a living. they are healthy enough to find something to do to earn money, but they don't. they would rather prefer begging. maybe this is a social problem, why this happened? what should government do?

Hi, icesmile. I have given them money. But, like you, I might just start to give them food if I have enough of money. With the food they will have to eat it. I don't want my money going to waste if I give them some. I also will give clothes, if I could.

Once before,I will give some money to him.But now i will not give it,because i find it that there are many cheater who is on the name of beggar to get money.

if i would help, i'll address it to the right authorities or agencies that caters to the needs of homeless children for example. giving to beggars on the street would encourage more beggars to follow. so i would rather help in a proper way.

everytime i saw beggar ask for money in street i feel pity to them. instead giving them money, i will just give them food instead. I do believe that if you gave money they will use to it and much more they will not work anymore. I want them to realize that they have to work instead asking money in the street for them to live.

We don't have a lot of betters on the street here, but we do have a lot of street musicians, and those are people I will give money to, because some of them are quite entertaining.

i give food, or sometimes i buy food and give it to them. i used to give coins but i see them gambling at the side of the street. so i made up my mind that next time i will give food rather than money. for i am sure that they will eat that. i dont like also to see my money go to gambling for first i dont gamble myself. i can not give them clothes for i only see them on the streets and far from our house, so food is the best thing to give to them.

I offer money only to older ones who beg on the streets.i dont offer money to a person who is really healthy coz they use it for smoking,drinking rather than that i would prefer donating amoount though small to orphanages so they get to some good clothes and is helpful for their studies.gud day and liked your Discussion.

hi,icesmile! to be honest,I usually don't give beggars money or food.because I don't think it is my duty.helping beggers is a responsibility of the government and as a tax payer I don't disapprove to spend money and resource on people who need help and care.but I am not willing to pay a doubled tax. if the bagger is very little or very old,I still give away a small change and hope there are some organizations can pay attention to them. have a nice day!

hi friend , if some person begs me for money , i will definitely give him if i have the money. if i have food like biscuits or some snacks i will give that only first.

i'll see if the begger is a man or a women coz if he is a man he can work and earn and feed himself but about a women their are many probs in their case so if its a women then yes and if its a man its definately a big 'NO'

First of all, I would judge the begger if he is really unable to work. For example, if the beggar has a able body. If he have, why would I donate money to him? Even if he does not have any level of education, he would still be able to do some labour jobs. Just the opposite, when I see the begger is disabled or hadicapped, I would donate money to him without hesitation because I know that he would have problems finding a job to feed for himself. And, begger giving money to people who send them may be because they are forced to? I have read numberous articles on people being kidnapped in poor countries and had their limbs cut off and sent to be a begger. Their life are destoryed and that is how they are going to live their lifes forever. I pity them...it's sad. So, it really is fine if a disabled beggar asked money from me in the streets, I would donate to him or her without any hesitations.

I agree with you.. nowadays, I don't 'donate' money anymore to beggars as I understand that there are some syndicates that doing this to capture ppl's sympathy. I have seen the same beggars travel miles away, just to beg.. and as for as I am concern, I don't think I will use the money to travel for begging... So, I end up asking them to eat with me instead.

well, if there is something that i can give to the beggar, i would not hesitate to give anything. like, a food or something to full their stomach, i would treat them as well and buy foods for them. and the best move would be, i'll convince them to go and ask help in the government. but how did they end there as a beggar? did they do anything wrong? or if the problem is within them, that is why they experience that, well, it's really a hard one to help, they should be responsible also in their life, or else they'll die in hunger. especially the old ones, my heart really goes down each time i see old folks in the street. :(

No. I don't give money. I rather give food than give money. Especially when they are kids.

Hey I generally give alms to the needy.But if I see that the beggar is perfectly fit for work then also he is not doing anything,then I generally dont give anything.There are people who are really helpless and they have nothing to do,these ones should be helpedmay be that the way of helping i.e by giving alms is not help,but its ok...
