My PC gets restart & gets hang frequently. I know due to my hot processor i gets restart. I cleaned dust on fan & processor & also applied toothpaste between processor & fan but there is no change in cpu temperature.
What to do my friends???????

Which toothpaste have you used? Its better to get the proper gel that is to be placed between the processor and the heat sink. You should also dettach the fan from the heatsink and clean between the fins of the heat sink. often the dust accomulates in it and even though the fan is working properly the air doesnt get circulated properly between the fins of the heat sink and so effective dissipation of heat does not take place.
What I have done is opened the cabinet of my PC and I use it that way. Since it is open more air gets circulated in the cabinet. Also if you do not want to do that you can fix an additional fan in the cabinet. Most of the cabinets now do have that in advance. BUt if yours doesn't have it would be prudent to try putting one.

Hi Rupesh,
I am not really sure whether you can put toothpaste in between the processor and the fan.You need to put thermal paste to cool the processor quickly from the heat.I too had the same problem once the engineer came to my house he cleaned the whole computer as when as he opened the processor fan bit by bit and cleaned every dust inside the fan. Then after that i never encountered problems of restarting. It mostly happens because of the dust accumulated inside the processor parts and this does not allow the heat to go out from the processor.

I have a friend who had the same problem. It was a dell. He finally opened it up and either the extra air cured it or he had his own fan blowing on it. I forgot what he finally did. I think the case was too tight or fan too small but he could never get dell to fix it.They kept saying nothing was wrong. Last I heard. He bought a new computer. Good luck!

Hello! As already mentioned by the first response, try to replace the heatsink with a bigger one or add a fan in it. If nothing has changed on its temperature, you can remove the fan and stay on an air-conditioned room when you use your computer. That was a practice done by many computer shop owners. I hope it helps, have a nice day!

Your processor is fast, and u have no cooling solution, i recommend buy good heat-sink fan, or buy cool master casing with Good PSU, fans, i.e world best casing in budget price snipper and HAF32 which has many options for coolings fans and cooling solution and many more, Do it only if u are using high processor and high gaming card, otherwise Heatsink fan will do job for u.

You can maybe install a bigger heatsink and also an extra fan as well as possibly replacing your present fan with a more powerful one.
