after Thiery Henry's hand of shame or hand of God whats your opinion of frances qualification?

To be fair, I do not think France deserved to be in the finals of World Cup 2010. I think Ireland were the better team over the two legs and the hand of shame was really a shameful act that too from a superstar such as Henry. It shows, it gets to the best of people. But even then I do not think France will go much further in the World Cup at least not until they sack Raymond Domanech. The man inherited a world class French team and since then has successfully taken them back one tournament at a time and this time around nearly missed out qualification!! Cheers! Ram

I would actually enjoy if they ban Henry for 7 odd matches meaning that he misses out the whole World Cup. That way it becomes a lesson for all sports persons that doing so can put an end to your career and you might not want to repeat it again. But again, I know FIFA would not do that as they want their best players to be available for the World Cup!! Cheers! Ram

I agree with you absolutely but the problem here is that Fifa has ruled out any possibility of a replay which to me I think it is still unfair. Henry should have done better than handling the ball twice and then celebrating the very same goal with gallas. Have a great day

Cheating should not be the correct way of doing anything.It is high time a fourth official was there like the third umpire in cricket who would have the technology at hand to inform the referee if he has overlooked something like this so that it casn be rectified then and there.A human being can make a mistake,but where there is so much at stake a prompt decision is necessary otherwise teams like Ireland will have to suffer for no fault of theirs.It is all very well to have a post mortem,but France has still qualified which is unjustified where everybody agrees there was an error in the decision of the referee to let the goal stand.

SO do you suggest that at some level in a football game we should make use of video replays and also allow forth officials to help in decision making?

frankly, i think Ireland deserve to be play in World Cup. but i salute to Henry, he`s greatest man when he admit that he is fault and forgive for everything that he done in the night.

I think France will be humiliated by others teams in the future.i think out of the world cup is better of the reputation of the ex-champion of the world cup.

i felt that France are one of the strongest world cup contenders and leaving them behind for Henry's mistake is unfair. Henry did the same as that was done by Diego maradona. He in fact did that in a world cup but this is a qualifier stage. and the mistake was not only on henry but also on the ref who should have seen the hand ball and shouldn't have allowed the goal. I really feel pity for Ireland and it would be great if platini can give the 33rd slot to them.
