Should Adam Lambert have performed the innuendo he did on stage?

I do not believe that he should have been allowed to perform the act that he did, not because he "plays for the other team" but because I also would not accept a man and a woman performing what he did on stage. Children and teenagers are watching these music award shows - and yes it is up to the parent to censor their child according to their morals, but when you do not expect something like that to occur... Do you think that he should have done the dirty deed on television?? Why or why not?

it was disgusting and definitely not fit for tv. i would hope that no one will invite him back to perform on any tv shows especially not awards shows. i saw the clip on the news yesterday and i was appalled. there seems to be no limit anymore to what we see on tv and the morals and scruples are just right out the window.

His was the last performance of the night, most kids should have been in bed by then. They kept announcing all night long that his performance was going to be outragous and shocking, they did it almost every time they went to commercial break.
I guess to some it was shocking. I think most of us expect the music awards to be a little over the top and at times off color.
I thought lady gagas performance was quite good but when she was on the piano bench her costume left little to the imagination and I don't here everybody up in arms about that.
I guess there are those that feel he shouldn't have done it, for their own reasons..moral or otherwise, but no I have signed a petition to keep him from doing it..Everybody this morning has certainly remembered his name.

I had to YouTube this after hearing all the hype cause I hate awards shows....they are, for the most part, incredibly boring, have way too many commercial breaks for my ADD addled brain to handle, and someone inevitably behaves like a jackass.
That said... OY VEY! I didn't like Adam on American Idol and if his whole album sounds like that I'm glad he didn't win. I'm not 100 kinds of crazy about Kris Allen's first single (it's a little too warm-and-fuzzy compared to the rest of the album, which is genuinely good) but musically it's 1000 times better.
And the performance. Oh my goodness, what a train wreck. Personally, I had to go back and watch it again because the lighting was so horrible and it was only like a two second "moment" that I wasn't sure anything had happened the first time around. So the moment in question in this discussion... a little appalling but definitely no worse than Dennis Franz showing his bare butt on NYPD Blue, however many years ago that was.
The kiss... apparently it was another guy. *shrug* I couldn't tell because everyone on stage looked like the same asexual humanoid...thing. I think it was a hideous performance but my opinion really has nothing to do with the "acts".... the singing was terrible (but I've thought that about him all along), there was entirely too much going on, the lighting was awful.... it was just bad overall.
