Do you care about spelling and grammar?

I spend a lot of time on-line reading blogs, email, and anything of interest in general. I always notice spelling and grammar mistakes and want to help. Most of the time I have to hold myself back from responding because most people either don't care or they are easily offended. What do you think of spelling and grammar? Do you care? Do you feel that you want to correct the author? Should I just ignore it and look the other way, or should I try to help?

Hi, leonardo63! I agree with you many people will get offended when you correct their spelling, especially if they didn't ask of your opinion. If I see spelling or grammar errors I will not mention it to them. I will just read through them all.

I do notice spelling and grammar all of the time and when I see something misspelled or grammar not used correctly, it really irritates me. I am extremely careful when it comes to spelling and if I don't know the spelling of a word I will look it up. To read something that someone has written and it is filled with misspellings gives me a bad impression of that person.
